More Beautiful Words

"A Friend"

A friend is like a flower, a rose to be exact.

Or maybe like a brand new gate that never comes unlatched.

A friend is like an owl, both beautiful and wise,

Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies.

A friend is like those blades of grass you can never mow,

Standing straight, tall, and proud, in a perfect row.

A friend is like a heart that goes strong until the end,

Where would we be in this world, if we didn't have a friend?

"Attitude"

Attitude is more important than facts. It is more important then the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say, or do. It is more important than appearance, or skill, or being gifted. It will make or break a company...a church...a home...or a person...

The remarkable thing is you have a choice regarding the attitude you will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain manner. We cannot change the inevitable...the only thing we can do is play the one string we have. And that is our Attitude...

I am convinced that Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is to You...You are in charge of your Attitude!

"What Do Angels Look Like?"

Like the little old lady who returned your wallet yesterday.

Like the taxi driver, who told you that your eyes light up the world when you smile.

Like the small child who showed you the wonder in simple things.

Like the poor man who offered to shared his lunch with you.

Like the rich man who showed you that it really is all possible if only you believe.

Like the stranger who just happened to come along when you lost your way.

Like the friend who touched your heart when you didn't think you had one to touch.

Angels come in all sizes and shapes, all ages and skin types.

Some with freckles, some with dimples, some with wrinkles, some without.

They come disguised as friends, enemies, teachers, students, lovers and fools.

They don't take life too seriously, they travel light.
