Mission: Impossible
File 2
Dec 12, 6:02 AM hours
Macross Battle7 Fleet
Captain Jenius sighed as he took another sip of his coffee. The enemy had attacked again, killing almost all of the remaining soldiers.
He knew that they could not stand another attack. The enemy was just too strong. Even if they used their deadliest weapons, the enemies still kept coming.
It seemed like they were just popping out of thin air! No matter how many had been destroyed, there always seemed to be more coming out from behind them.
Captain Jenius sighed again. This is worse than the war with the protodevils…He thought gloomily. There has to be something we can do to stop them!
A knock interrupted Captain Jenius's thoughts. It was Sally Ford.
"Captain…" She said, "There's a phone call for you. From doctor Chiba."
Captain Jenius got up. "I'll be right there."
9 minutes later……
Captain Jenius set down the phone.
There was a smile of victory on his face.
"Heh…heh! They may have won the battle, but it looks like we'll win the war!"
Dec 12, 8:00 AM hours
City7; Mylene F Jenius's apartment
RING~~! RING~~! RING~~! RING~~!
"Huh?! What !? What!?" Mylene was awakened by the sound of her telephone ringing. She sat up and reached for the phone by her bed. "Hello?"
"Mylene, It's me. Your mother."
"Oh, it's you…what do you want?" Mylene asked, not really happy she got woke up.
"If I were you, I would get down to doctor Chiba's. NOW. I think there's something you should see."
"What?" Mylene asked chewing on a strand of her hair. "AH! That person gave doctor Chiba a signal ?!"
"You bet!"
"All right, I'm coming now!! Come on, Gubaba!"
Dec 12, 8:32 AM hours
City7;Doctor Chiba's private lab
Mylene got ready and drove to doctor Chiba's as fast as she could. She knew that this 'person' was their only hope of saving Basara and Gamlin.
When she got there, she saw that her parents and Ray and Veffidas were already there. Doctor Chiba was busing typing on his computer.
"So…? What's happening? Is this person coming to help us?" Mylene asked, walking up to them.
"Shh…!" Her mother said. "Doctor Chiba's doing some last minute checks on the transporter."
"You mean that the person's coming?" Mylene whispered.
"We hope." Her mother whispered back.
Finally, doctor Chiba turned to face them. "All right. The moment we've all been waiting for! I'm going to try out the transporter!"
"Has this person agreed to help us?" Captain Jenius was more concerned about city7.
"Yes! He said he'll do all he can!"
Mylene cheered and mayor Millia let out a sigh of relief.
"Well, here we go!!" Doctor Chiba said as he activated the machine.
A huge ray of blinding light shot out of the machine.
"Is it suppose to be like this!?" Mylene shouted as she covered her eyes.
"I don't know!" Doctor Chiba shouted back.
"Ugh!! I can't see a thing!" Cried Mayor Millia.
"Let's just hope this thing works!" Captain Jenius exclaimed.
The light became brighter and brighter, and the machine rumbled loudly. All of a sudden, the lights went off.
"what happened!?" Mylene cried.
"The transporter took up too much electronic energy." Doctor Chiba said. "Well…I guess this is not a good sign…"
"You mean the machine failed?!" Mayor Millia asked in a high pitched voice.
"I was counting on you, doctor Chiba…" Captain Jenius said.
"Maybe I did some calculations wrong…" Doctor Chiba said scratching his head.
"You did some calculations wrong!? You did some calculations wrong!?" Mylene screamed, "Doctor, Basara and Gamlin san's life are at stake!! By the time you get the machine fixed, They're probably half way to heaven!!"
"Hey, can somebody give me a hand here!?"
Everybody turned around.
"W…Who said that…?" Mylene asked in a shaky voice.
"Who are you?" Captain Jenius asked as he turned around in circles, eyeing the room.
"I'll tell you if you help me get out of this thing!" The voice shouted back.
A small grin appeared on doctor Chiba's face. It grew and grew until doctor Chiba bursted out laughing.
"I do not see what is so funny!" Mayor Millia said.
"I didn't do anything wrong! I did it!" Doctor Chiba said. "Come on, let's go greet our guest of honor!"
They all walked up towards the smoking transporter and looked in.
"I don't see anything…" Mylene said
"That's because I stuck beneath the door." A voice said.
"Ahh!!!" Mylene took a huge jump backwards. It's a woman! Then she asked, "Are you the one?"
"Depends who I'm talking to." The voice replied. "I'm not really sure if this machine did it's job…"
"I'm Mylene Jenius. I'm here with Captain Maxmilian Jenius and the Mayor of city7, Millia F Jenius."
"What!? Damn it! Stupid machine!! Sorry mom, I'll be down for diner in a minute, don't wait for me."
Everyone just stood there looking very, very confused.
"What…" Mylene asked "Did she just call me…?"
They all held their breaths, as the figure stepped out from the smoke.
"I thought I told you don't wait for me! I'm not a little baby anymore…Oh! OH!"
"I am doctor Chiba," He said, walking up to her. "And you must be…AHHH!!!!
He let out a cry as he saw the person that stood before him. "You're a GILR!"
"Hey! I don't look that much like a guy!" The girl said.
"And you…you…" Doctor Chiba didn't know what to say.
He was expecting a professor, or maybe a scientist! Not a little girl!! AND, he now realized that the little girl standing in front of him, looked exactly like Mylene.
She looked like a mini Mylene! Same hair, same look, same voice.
Except that her hair was light brown and she has bright hazel eyes.
"There must have been some sort of mistake!!" Doctor Chiba said as he started to type in his computer again.
"Are you the one that's been receiving my signals?" The girl asked.
"Yes…" Doctor Chiba said.
"Than there is no mistake. I'm the one you're looking for." The girl said with a smile.
"This is crazy!!" Mayor Millia cried. "Are you telling me, that the fate of our whole city is lied in the hands of a little KID!?"
"I'm not a little kid!" The girl protested. "And yes, I'm all you have to save the city."
Captain Jenius couldn't believe this. Mayor Millia looked as if she would faint any second now.
Mylene looked at the girl that looked so much like her. This is like looking into a mirror! She thought.
"How old are you?" Captain Jenius asked narrowing his eyes.
"…Twelve." The girl replied.
"And you plan to save the city how…?" He asked.
The girl didn't say anything. She just gave him a mischievous but confidant smile.
"I said I'll help you, and I will. Now, will you trust me or not? If you do, I'll tell you everything I know about these things, and I'll help you destroy them. If you don't, I'll leave and you can figure out a way yourselves."
There was silence. Nobody said anything.
"I'm really puzzled…" Doctor Chiba said, "Why didn't they send someone else? Someone older, perhaps…"
"Because," The girl said, "I'm the only one who can help you."
"I don't understand…" Mayor Millia said.
"I'll explain. But first, I need to know if you want my help or not?"
There was silence again.
"Give her a chance." Mylene said.
"What?" Her father asked.
"This is better than nothing, dad. You heard the girl too. She said she's the only one who can help us. Maybe she is. Let her tell us how to destroy these things."
She turned to the girl. The girl smiled at her brightly.
Captain Jenius scratched his head. He took off his hat than put it on again.
"Okay." He said. "As captain of the Macross Battle7 fleet, I here by ask for your help."
The girl smiled. "It's show time!!"
