Trip of Horror to The Moon Light Inn
Chapter 1: The Invitation

"But why not?!" Mylene Jenius yelled to the tall man who had his back against her. "Why not?"
"Because, I don't want to." Nekki Basara simply replied.
"I don't want to go that far just to sing for a couple of upper class snobs."
"Too bad." Mylene said. "They made an offer I couldn't refuse."
"And what's that?" He asked with no interest in his voice.
"A whole week at the Moon Light Inn!!" Mylene exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. "One whole week in the biggest and oldest mansion ever! We even get our own rooms and everything! We don't have to pay for any of the services, AND! We get paid for our performance! Now what part of that do you not like?!"
"All of it." He said.

Mylene got ready to yell at him again, but the door opened, and Ray stepped in to the room.
"Ray…! Thank God you're here! Help me get this stubborn ox to go to the gig at the
Moon Light Inn!" Mylene plead for Ray's help.
Ray chucked and pets Mylene on the head.
"Think about it, Basara." He said in a kind voice. "It wouldn't hurt us to go a couple of extra miles out of the fleet. And besides, The Flxenbergs are really nice people. They said we could even bring a friend if we liked."
Basara still had his back against them, and didn't say a word.
"It would be fun." Ray promised.
Mylene really wanted to go, so she pleaded at him in her sweetest voice, "please…?"
"…I'll think about it." Was all Basara said.
Mylene looked up at Ray, who just shrugged. Humph, she thought, this is something that I just can't pass on, so I *will* get Basara to go no matter what!

With that, Mylene walked out of his room, slamming the door behind her. She walked out of the old building, and got into her car. Starting the engine, she headed for home.
Who should I bring…? She thought as she drove onto the highway. The first person that came up to her mind was Gamlin. That's it! I'll ask Gamlin san to come!
Mylene, now in a really good mood, started to hum to herself. This is going to be great! I've never been to a real haunted mansion before! Her thoughts went back to the encounter with Mr. and Mrs. Flxenberg this morning………

At Nine o'clock that morning, Mylene had gone over to her mothers to drop of something. She found her mother talking to two wealthy looking people.
Her mother turned and saw her. "Oh! Mylene, you're here! Come, meet Mr. and Mrs. Flxenberg."
Mylene walked up and shook hands with them. "Mr. and Mrs. Flxenberg, Mylene, my daughter."
"So…" The middle aged man said, "this is the young lady whom we've heard so much about?"
Mylene blushed a bit.
"Mr. and Mrs. Flxenberg are old friend of your father and I." Mayor Millia told Mylene. "They just bought that old Mansion that stands as it's own fleet north to Macross 7."
"The Moon Light Inn?!" Mylene's eyes lit up with interest. "But isn't it……"
"Haunted?" Mrs. Flxenberg finished for Mylene. She let out a little chuckle. "Why my dear, I see you've heard stories about our little mansion, huh?"
Mylene nodded. "Every one knows The Moon Light Inn is haunted."
"That's why we bought it." Mr. Flxenberg said. "My wife and I, have sort of a passion for houses with history. That's why we bought it." He repeated again.
"We're having a little party there this weekend." Mrs. Flxenberg said. "We were going to ask your mother to come along, but it seems like she already has plans…"
Just then, Mr. Flxenberg's eye's Lit up. "Say Mylene, my sources say that you are in a band, am I correct?"
"yes…" Mylene said.
"That's great!" Mr. Flxenberg uttered. "Is it possible that your band plays for us this weekend?"
"Uh…I'm sort of in a …rock band…" Mylene stammered. She just couldn't see a bunch of high class ladies and gentlemen listening to rock music.
"That's the point." Mrs. Flxenberg smiled. "Our nephews and cousins want a first tour of the mansion. There all quite young, and I suspect there're all fans of Fire Bomber…"
"Really?!" Mylene asked.
"You wouldn't have to pay for your stay, and you could even stay for a whole week if you like." Mrs. Flxenberg said with a smile.
"REALLY?!" Mylene could not believe her luck. Staying at the Moon Light Inn!!
"And of course, we will pay for your performances." Mr. Flxenberg added.
"Count me in!!" Mylene said.
"Oh, and," Mrs. Flxenberg said. "You can bring a friend too! The more the merrier!"

Mylene was really looking forward to the trip. It's been so long sense she had some fun. She needed something to make her life a bit more interesting.

The first thing she did when she got home, was to call Gamlin.
She told him about the Moon Light Inn, and Gamlin agreed to come along.
Yes! Mylene thought. This is gonna be so much fun!! The Moon Light Inn is the biggest oldest mansion around. It's like a vacation center! It has a billion in door and out door pools, tennis courts, a work out center, even a golf course! Mylene thought, getting all excited already.

Now… She thought. How am I going to get Basara to come? I know he doesn't like arrogant, wealthy people, but the Flxenbergs aren't like that! And besides, it's not like *he's* not arrogant…
She sighed.
"Oh, well. Just hope Ray can talk him into it."

An hour later, Ray phoned. Basara has agreed to go! Mylene was so happy she started to dance around her living room. "We're going! We're going! Isn't it great Gubaba?" Gubaba, who was sitting on Mylene's shoulder, gave a happy squeak.
*******************
The next few days seemed like years to Mylene. She had packed up all her stuff.
Finally, the day Mylene had been waiting for was here.
"Yeah ~ ! We're going to the Moon Light Inn!!" She grabbed her small suitcase and raced out the door. Hopping into the car, she drove at top speed towards Ray and Basara's.

Knock! Knock! Knock!
"Ray!! Time to get up! Time to go! Rise and shine!" Mylene pounded on the door, yelling.
There was no answer.
"He can't still be sleeping, can he?" Mylene muttered. She decided to try Basara's room. Just when she was about to pound on the door, she remembered that Basara never locks his door. Sure enough, when she turned the doorknob, the door swung right open.

I will never understand that weirdo. She thought as she entered his room.

It was dead silent. Mylene climbed up the ladder, and found Mr. Basara snoring on his bed.

Mylene walked up to him, and gently shoved his shoulder. "Basara…wake up. It's time to go!"
No response.
Mylene shoved a little bit harder. "Basara! It's time to go to the Moon Light Inn!"
Still no response
This time Mylene yelled straight into his ear. "BASARA! WAKE UP!!"
Basara was still dead asleep.

Mylene backed up a few steps, took a huge breath, and screamed.
"BASARA! YOUR VALKERY'S ON FIRE!!"
Basara sat straight up. "What?! Huh?! Where?! What fire?!"
He looked and saw Mylene shaking her head.
"It'll take an army to wake you up."
"Mylene! What are you doing here this early in the morning…?"
"It's noon." Mylene replied, looking annoyed.
"It is…?" Basara yawned.
"Come on! We have to go!" Mylene said impatiently.
"To where?"
"The Moon Light Inn of course!!" Mylene cried.
"Oh…that place." He said "Do we have to?"
That was it for Mylene.
She walked up to him and dragged him out of his bed.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! What are you doing?!"
Mylene paid no attention to him. She threw some clothes onto him. "Get dressed!"
"Why ?!"
"Ugh!!" Mylene was getting angry now. "Do I have to do everything for you?!" she walked up to him and started pulling his tank top off. "Hold still!!" Mylene cried.
"I know how to dress myself !!" Basara yelled back. "Then do it!" Mylene screamed.

Just then Ray walked into the room.
Mylene was too busy trying to get Basara to take off his tank top, and Basara was too busy trying to get Mylene to get off him. Neither of them noticed Ray.
Ray just stared at the sight before him.

Okay…Mylene is trying to take off Basara's clothes?! Oh…I must be seeing things.
He shook his head and walked out of the room.
He heard some more shouts coming from the other side of the door, and then, without a warning, Mylene bursted out the door.

She was holding Basara's tank top and waving it around in the air.
"Give it back!" Basara yelled, following her out the door.
"Come and get it!" She said, sticking her tongue out
Ray watched as Basara chased Mylene up and down the hall.
"Good morning, Ray!" Mylene said cheerfully as she ran passed him, Basara close behind.
"…Good morning…Mylene." Ray said with a confused smile. "Uh… there's something important I think you should know…"
"What?" Mylene asked stopping right where she was.
"Ahh!!" Basara didn't have time to pull on his brakes, and he crashed into her; Sending them both to the floor, one on top of the other.

"Ow…!" Mylene moaned. She blushed when she realized that Basara was right on top of her. Then she cried out, "God, you're heavy!!"
Basara grabbed his tank top and got up. "That's what you get for taking other people's stuff!"
"I was just trying to help." Mylene said.
"By taking my tank top and making me chase after you?! You're not much of a helper are you?"
"No, I did that just for fun." She said giggling.

She got up. "Ray…what was that thing you wanted to tell me?"
Ray scratched his head and said, a bit embarrassed, "uh…I over slept, and I…think we were supposed to be at the Moon Light Inn three hours ago.
"WHAT?!" Mylene grabbed Basara and Ray and rushed out the building towards the van.
"Hey! I haven't packed yet!" Basara cried. "I'm not even dressed yet!!"
