These photos don't do justice to the school, but the pictures are of the Lick Fork Grade School on Jennie's Creek. If you go up Jennie's Creek the school house is on the right side of the road just before you get to the mouth of Little Lick Fork.

The Mobile home and other items were not there when Gordon attended this school in 1953, but the building itself still looks the same.

Gordon's Grand dad, Patrick Blair, used to make his kids come home during recess, since the school was so close to the home place. He said he sent his kids to school to learn and not to play, and they could get some work done during the 15 minute recess period.
