MY MOM WAS THERE
My mom was always there for me,
When things were good, when times were bad;
She brought comfort and she brought smiles,
When I was sick, when I was sad.
When winter came she gave me clothes,
And warmth of love, of home, of life;
With everything that I received
My mom would make a sacrafice.
When problems came, she gave me hope,
From wisdom that she always shared.
We'd make it through, we'd make it right,
And I'd be blessed because she cared.
Though time has come and time has gone,
She's always been there, tried and true.
I know that I can count on her,
She's always there to see me through.
When I think back, when I get old,
And search my banks of memory,
I'll sit and smile and thank my God,
My mom was always there for me.
