Observer's Notes: To appreciate the true beauty of the Double Cluster through a telescope, use the widest field lens you have. Then bump up the power and zoom in on each cluster individually. Although located in Perseus, it's easy to find the Double Cluster using the stars of Cassiopeia. Click this link and look for the stars Navi and Ruchbah. Extend the line between them about one and one half times its length in the direction of Ruchbah, and you're right on the Double Cluster.
