Images of Colorado Springs: Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and Cave of the Winds
by Chris S. Thomas

There is a treasure trove of natural wonders to be found in and around the beautiful city of Colorado Springs. The Garden of the Gods is one of the most fascinating parks I have ever visited. Four hundred and eighty acres packed with some of the most amazing rock formations in the country. The Park was donated to the City of Colorado Springs in 1909 by Charles Elliot Perkins, with the stipulation that it always remain open to the public, free of charge.

Seven Falls, only ten minutes from downtown Colorado Springs, is a place of awe inspiring beauty and spiritual energy. The Falls are 181 feet high and take seven distinct turns on their way down. Located in South Cheyenne Canon, which is in itself a breathtaking sight.

Cave of the Winds is located near Williams Canyon in Manitou Springs, and is one of the highest caves in the world at an altitude of 7000 feet above sea level. I took a basic tour of the cave and was astonished by the wonderful cave formations, some of which I photographed. Click on each thumbnail below for a larger image.
