Otter Creek Park is a City of Louisville public park. The park offers many programs and activities. The Campground is open all year round, and features over 200 wooded sites. Water, electric and sewer are available. Otter Creek also has a Lodge and Cabins.  (Please contact Otter Creek Park for more information and rates for the campground, lodge, and cabins.) The Otter Creek Nature Center offers many exhibits and programs about Otter Creek Park. If you're into hiking, there are 25 miles of Trails where one can witness the awe of nature as well as spectacular views of the mighty Ohio River. Mountain Biking enthusiasts are welcome also. The park offers an 8 mile mountain bike trail for those who want to take a trip on the wild side. Several Mountain Biking clubs from the Kentuckiana area meet regularly at Otter Creek. Other attractions include Morgan's Cave and its beautiful cave formations. If thats not enough, then how about jumping off a cliff? Rappeling and rock climbing are available for those who are looking for fun and adventure. As you can see, the Park offers something for eveyone! Directions: From the Louisville area, take the Gene Snyder Freeway (I-265) West to Dixie Highway (US31W), where the Freeway ends. Turn left and follow Dixie Highway for approximately 13 miles to State Road 1638 and turn right (you will see a sign for the Park). Take 1638 for about 4 miles until you come to the Park Entrance on your right. Follow the road (3241) for 1.1 miles to the Observatory Parking Lot on your left. The sign also says Disc Golf and Playground. Please park in the paved lot, then follow the gravel path by the dumpster down to the Observatory. When you near the Observatory please turn off any white flashlights so that your eyes may become adapted to the dark. White flashlights will ruin any photographs that may be exposing in or around the Observatory. Thank you, and Clear Skies!
