Our goal at Best Friends Obedience is to provide the highest quality dog training classes in the area. We want our students, both human and canine, to look forward to coming to class and have the best chance at success.
Beginning Obedience classes feature:
All of the Best Friends Obedience instructors have been trained in the Volhard's Motivational Method. Most of them have attended the Volhard's Instructor Training Camp, as well as other dog-related seminars and the annual Association of Pet Dog Trainers conference.
A feature of the Motivational Method is the recognition that dogs have different personalities--what works well for one dog is not right for another. We have you test your dog's personality, and explain how the training techniques are adapted for your individual dog. [Want to test your dog? -- see Understanding Your Dog's Personality ].
Best Friends Obedience has been offering obedience classes in Central Kentucky since 1983. In 1997, the year after AKC began conferring Agility titles, we offered our first Agility class.
