After the King of Scotland died without a son, the tyrant Edward the Longshanks of England seized the Scottish throne. A young William Wallace's brother and father are killed in a rebellion, and he is then taken away and raised and educated by his uncle. Upon returning to Scotland, Wallace reaquaints himself with his childhood friends. Namely, Murron-whom he marries in secret. During the time while Wallace was away, Longshanks reissued the noble right of Prima Noctre. When Wallace refused to share his wife with a noble, she was murdered. The local magistrate had plans for Wallace's end, also-but with the aid of other villagers, Wallace slaughtered all of the English troops inhabiting his town. Thus began the malice-soaked journey to defeat Longshanks and reclaim Freedom for the Scots. Five stars, ladies and gents. Five stars!
