Soffits, Roofing & Siding

John is doing more details. Piece by piece, it is looking better. The only help he has is the "gophering" of Mary Ann and Steph. It isn't a lot of help, but it saves trips up and down the ladder.

There was a violent thunderstorm and it cut short the working time. It also tore loose some of the Tyvek, which had to be re-stapled.

July 21, 1999, it is very hot and humid. John is plugging along. The first row of tarpaper is up, but while he is laying out the shingle sequence, a breeze kicks up and off it comes. Steph and Mary Ann re-rolled it and John reinstalls it. By moving the planking and scaffolding John is able to make some progress on the initial course of shingles.

The next day the progress is better. There are no storms in the area and Steph, Keith and Mary Ann help John in the evening cool and the results are significant.

The siding is started and worked on when the roof is too hot. Steph and Mary Ann help as needed. The building is looking better every day.
