CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

(NEW!) PM CONDITIONING
Preventative maintenance conditioning. This class will improve your flexibility, increase range of motion, while incorporating pilates, strength, healthy back exercises and cardio. Done in sets this is a great class for women but especially for men. Any fitness level

YOGA/PILATES
Build strength, improve muscle tone and flexibility. Improve circulation and respiratory systems. Combines body and mind exercises to improve self-awareness and relaxation. Pilates matwork incorporated into Yoga. All levels.

CARDIO & CURVES
Want a great workout by concentrating on individual muscle groups, then this is the class for you. This class is a great compliment to all other workouts. Concentrates on abs, thighs, hips and all those problem areas!

STEP N' SCULPT
Intermediate step class incorporating weight training. all levels

STEP N' BALL
This class combines your favorite step class with the new and fun Thera-Ball! Come try this new and innovative way to exercise. Uses weights and bands too.

FIT FOR ALL
Bringing back hi-lo aerobics! Have fun while you sweat! High and low impact provides a class for all levels and ages. From the young to the older active adults, this class will improve cardiovascular health, muscle strength and mobility. Work at your level of fitness, not a competition class!!

REP WORKOUT
Using wights and a structures format, this strength training class will pump you up! Using varied repitions, this workout will tone and firm all over. Use a variety of size of weights to your fitness level.

KICKBOXING
One of today's most popular fitness activities! This class is designed to improve overall fitness levels. Work at your own pace and learn a variety of matial arts movements set to music.

PILATES
exercise targeting core muscles and breathing as in yoga, this class is the hottest trend to fitness. Reshape your body within weeks. Strengthens weak back and abdominal muscles. All fitness levels.

BLAST & BURN
Class includes 1:1 ratio segments of aerobic activity (step and hi-lo) with intervals of weight training (weights and dynabands). This is a high fat burning workout, prepare to burn that fat away!

BODY BLAST
Strength training using more reps and concentration on main muscle groups, similar to power sculpt, but slower movements and more weight.

SALSA
Fun and energetic aerobics with a Latin flair.


  • The Henderson County Family YMCA may cancel any fitness class that does not maintain a minimum attendance.
