The Dispute Between The Hybrid Squirrels and Trout Records

Brandon Beaver takes the Trout Records incident into his own hands:

Trout Records,
If this is the same "Dodgem" punk band that is responsible for the creation of "Trout Records", I stumbled across your ramshackle website this afternoon, only to find a ridiculous claim that the Hybrid Squirrels were featured as a member of your artist roster! This situation was especially confusing for me, being a founding member of the band and the creator of the Hybrid Squirrels Totally Official Website. My question is: Why the hell does Trout Records think that the infamous Hybrid Squirrels are on their label? We've had no communication with you regarding this mysterious and non-existant contract. We've never even seen or heard of you at all before. We know nothing about "A Load of Old Trout". I was shocked and appalled to find that a flase claim about the Hybrid Squirrels was in effect all across the world wide web. And who are these other acts supposedly on your label? "Lud!krus"? What the fuck? Whoever made up that bullshit name was either the biggest dumbass in the world, the least creative person in the world, or a relatively dumb bastard who lives in a cave. None of the links to the other artists even worked. Do they even exist? I have my doubts! I demand an explanation for this ridiculous claim immediately!

Luke Davies responds promptly:

The Trout Records website still exists from 5 years ago??????
Surely not - but I do, sumwhere in my posession from many years ago have a demo tape of a band by the name of the Hybrid Squrrels from many years ago!!!!! It was errrrr, no comment!!!!!!!
Actually Trout came and went, the comp never came out, Dodgem split up, and this is my e-mail address that only came into being long after that period of my life - cool that U got here tho!!!!!!!!
I went onto start up a REAL indie record label in the end - LaStMinuteWinner, and we have just signed a band who have ahd airplay on Radio 1 the biggest radio station in the UK!!!!
I still cant believe the site still exists - this is awesome as fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude - how has the Hybrid Squirrels life gone since 98???

As it turns out, several years ago Robb Rodent and Ben Squirrel were sent lyrics about a guy and some Twinkies along with a request to put the words to some mind-blowing punk music. They did so successfully for the little known track, "The Legend of St. Hermie", which according to Davies was less than desirable. The song was forgotten forever, and as far as we know, Davies posesses the only copy in existence. Lud!krus was unavailable for comment
