How do I become a True Christian?
God the father and Jesus Christ his only son "wills that none should perish but all come to repentance."
We must hear the word..."So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God." (Matthew 7:24-27)
We must believe..."And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15-16)
We must repent of our sins..."Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)
We must confess that Jesus is the son of God..."And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." (Acts 8:37)
We must also be baptized for the remission of our sins..we must be BURIED in baptism...again we use this same verse..."Repent AND be baptized for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)
Last but not least we must live faithful to him..."Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world" (Titus 2:12)

Christ loves you and wants you to come home!
God loves you and wants you to become his child (or return to him) before it's everlasting too late. God has always has had a plan and a way to do things all through the bible. He sent his only son to shed his innocent blood for every sin under the sun. Your sin is not too great! He is willing that "ALL" come to repentance! That means me and you. I would like to challenge you, as well as reading this page, to read the book of Acts in the bible. This book includes 9 conversions. These are the only examples we have to go by today. Since Jesus came and brought us his way he tells us through these conversions how to become a christian. We have to take them all into consideration not just the ones we like. I find it interesting that alot of denomonations would have us believe that we can pray to God as a sinner and ask for forgiveness of our sins to become a christian and in none of these conversions did Christ ever command this. God does not hear the prayer of sinners today. We know this by John 9:31 "Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth." We have to become a Christian by obedience to his word and then we are to ask for forgiveness from there on when we fall short. Let us "search the scriptures" and see how God wants us to become a christian. Let's do bible things bible ways.
Contrary to some beliefs it's not by faith only that we become a Christian. The bible says in James 2:24, "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."
