God's protection for us

Topic: Contentment (June 18)

"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.""Let you conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for the hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.""All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.""A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.""But godliness with contentment is great gain.""Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long.""And the soldirs likewise demanded of him, saying, and what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.""Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.""Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God.""Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yeah, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord."

Topic: Marriage (May 22)

"Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun...""Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.""Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.""Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth...be thou ravished always with her love...""Wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.""Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.""Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.""So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.""For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh."

verses:(Ecclesiastes 9:9)(1 Cor. 7:3)(Eph. 5:22-23)(Prov. 5:18-20)(Col. 3:18-19)(Eph. 5:25,28,31)

Here's something else I'd like to add to the topic of marriage. I'm not sure if this psychologist realized this but the all the comments he made on this subject can be supported in the bible! I pray I will have the strength to be the kind of wife I know God would be pleased with and what a better way to find that out than be studying his word!

The Truth Hurts!

"A noted psychologist was asked to give reasons why so many people fail to make life successful. He gave these. We will be miserable if we are guilty of:

Finding fault with others, but never seeing our own.
Doing as little as possible and trying to get as much as possible for doing it.
Spending much time in showing up the other fellow's weak points, and too little time correcting our own.
Slandering those we do not like.
Procrastination...putting off until tommorrow what should have been done day before yesterday.
Deceit...talking friendly to the other fellow's face and stabbing him in the back as he turns.
False belief that we are smart enough to reap a harvest of pay before sowing a crop of service.
Disloyalty to those who have trusted us.
Egotism...the belief that we know it all, and no man can tell us anything."

Topic:Seeking God (May 15)

"The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek y me, and ye shall live. But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord they God, thou shalt find him, if thou sek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. Sow to yourswlves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your allow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewaarder of them that diligently seek him. That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us. The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty; If thou wert pure and uptight; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

(2 Chron.15:2)(Amos 5:4)(Deut. 4:29)(Hosea 10:12)(Heb.11:6)(Acts 17:27)(Ezra 8:22)(Lamen.3:25)(1 Chron.28:9)(Job 8:5-6)(Jer.29:13)

Topic: Help during troubles!(May 9)

"Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers: Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Why art though cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquiteted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth fortth and weepeth, bearing prrecious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, though wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

(JOB8:20-21)(John 16:33)(Nahum 1:7)(Psalm 42:11,91:10-11,32:7,34:19,37:24,37:39,68:13,73:26,22:24,9:9)

God's Correction(May 2)

"For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Thou shalt also condider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee. Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whome he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?"

(2 Cor.4:16-17)(Deut.8:5)(Job 5:17-18)(Prov.3:12)(Psalm 94:12-13)(Heb.12:10-11)(Heb.12:6-7)
