This particular item is not really what most would call a poem but simply a flow of words and thoughts. On September 17, 1996 I lost a very good friend. I met Kyle Glen Bebber when he started dating a friend/co-worker of mine. Over the next nine years we became good friends. He was a lineman for our local electric company. On the afternoon of his death he was in a bucket truck working on a line and it "arched" in his hands killing him instantly. His passing is still mourned and his friends and family miss him dearly. This "composition" was written by me in memory of my pal...Boo Boo Bebber.
Dear Friend
Things have changed since you've gone. Life will never be truly the same. But thankfully our time together did not go with you. You stay in our hearts and our minds think of you often. An image from the corner of our eye, a similar voice, some little something that brings you to mind may bring a tear to our eyes. But we have the memories of the good times...these we will carry with us always. Your face is in our mind and your smile in our hearts. We will move on because we know you would want it that way. We'll be there to support your family and each other because that is what friends do. We will think of you with a smile and remember the laughter we all enjoyed together. Most of all we will look forward to the time we will see each other again...when we will have an eternity to joke, like and love. We will not pity your passing as we know you are in a better place. Also, do not pity us because through God's love we will soon be there with you. See ya soon Bebber!
