These next two amulets were VERY popular in ancient Egypt. The first amulet (left), is of the very well-known and worshipped Goddess Bast. In Ancient Egypt, the cat was worshipped as a God, and was very close to the Pharaoh. This is a Very nice amulet that is hand-carved out of steatite and stands 1" in height. The next amulet (right), is of the Eye of Horus. Horus was the falcon-headed son of Isis. According to Egyptian belief, Horus lost his eye in a battle with Seth, who had killed Osiris. Horus' Eye became a protective symbol, and possibly the most famous of Egyptian amulets. This amulet has tremendous color, and is beautiful to the eye. The size is 3/4" in length, and 1/2" in height. Both amulets come from the 26th Dynasty Egypt, and are very nice for any collector. They can be strung and worn if desired.

Here is another Egyptian bast cat amulet! This is a very nice amulet, with tremendous detail! Just as the one above, it measures one inch tall, and is composed of steatite. The carving is tremendous, and this comes from the 26th Dynasty in Egypt. This bast has a greenish tint to it, unlike the one mentioned above, with a bluish-gray tint.

Here is a strand of mummybeads, on a necklace. These can be worn if desired, or an amulet can be added to them, much in the same way that the ancient Egyptians did. Beaded necklaces such as these were used with amulets, such as the Eye of Horus, to protect them from danger, give them courage and strength, and to honor their gods.
