ANCIENT EGYPTIAN EYE OF HORUSAMULETS!

EYE OF HORUS AMULETS!


These next two amulets were VERY popular in ancient Egypt. The first amulet (left), is of the very well-known and worshipped Goddess Bast. In Ancient Egypt, the cat was worshipped as a God, and was very close to the Pharaoh. This is a Very nice amulet that is hand-carved out of steatite and stands 1" in height. The next amulet (right), is of the Eye of Horus. Horus was the falcon-headed son of Isis. According to Egyptian belief, Horus lost his eye in a battle with Seth, who had killed Osiris. Horus' Eye became a protective symbol, and possibly the most famous of Egyptian amulets. This amulet has tremendous color, and is beautiful to the eye. The size is 3/4" in length, and 1/2" in height. Both amulets come from the 26th Dynasty Egypt, and are very nice for any collector. They can be strung and worn if desired.

These next two Eye of Horus amulets are of very good size. The brown Eye on the left is nicely carved in relief and measures a very large 1.25" in size. The turquoise Eye of Horus on the right is a beautiful color that was favored by the Egyptians. This amulet measures a full 1" in size. Both eyes have the small front part of the Eye chipped off, which is common on amulets such as these. They are both extremely nice amulets dating around the 26th Dynasty Egypt.

These next two Eye of Horus amulets are rare handpainted amulets. They are composed of faince, and measure approximately 1/2" in size. Both are faience with a brown painted top of the eye, and the eye itself. Both are very nice!

This next Eye of Horus is similar to the Eye listed above, exept that it represents the right eye of the god Horus. This is a very nice amulet, that has excellent detail, and a fine even color throughout. It measures 1/2" in size, and it can be strung and worn on mummybeads if desired. A very nice Egyptian protective amulet for the price!

This is a Very rare double Eye of Horus. It represents both the left and right Uzat eye of Horus. It is composed of a white faince, and is carved in relief. It dates to the late period Egypt, around the 26th Dynasty. The double Eye of Horus is rare, and as all of these Eye amulets, it can be strung and worn if desired. Choice!

Two raised carved faience Eye of Horus amulets! The amulet on the left is an Eye of Horus with two holes carved into the faince to form the Eye. Much of the detail is missing. The next eye is very nice! It has the entire eye carved in the faience, with the detail being seen in the shape of the Eye. This represents the right Eye of Horus, but can be seen on both sides of the amulet. A very interesting Eye of Horus, and perfect for any Horus lover!
