This next item, is a very fascinating amulet. It is of the ancient Egyptian God Horus. Horus was the son of Isis, and Osiris. He avenged the death of his father Osiris (who became god of the underworld) when he killed Seth. This is a very nice amulet featuring Horus as a hawk. This comes from the late period (1,070-350 B.C) which covers the 21st through 26th dynasties. In this amulet, Horus wears the double crown which represents both Upper and Lower Egypt. This piece is a nice amulet. It has a rich, turqouise faince color and has excellent detail. This amulet is of the head of Horus with his large crown. The detail on this amulet is very nice. The view of the face of Horus is seen from the front, including his hooked beak and eyes. This is a very nice and interesting amulet for any collector to have.

Here is a strand of mummybeads, on a necklace. These can be worn if desired, or an amulet can be added to them, much in the same way that the ancient Egyptians did. Beaded necklaces such as these were used with amulets, such as the Eye of Horus, to protect them from danger, give them courage and strength, and to honor their gods.
