This is a wooden mummy sarcophagus mask. It is rare since it dates back to the New Kingdom in Egypt, which is approximately 1,500 B.C. This is a special mask, because it wears a Lotus flower headdress. Many of the masks did not have the lotus flower on them, because it was reserved for individuals with special status. This mask has excellent paint and color remaining, especially for its age! The mask measures 10" in height, and 5.5" in width, and comes mounted for easy display. This is a great rare mask, as it was once housed in a museum!
