This next scarab is extremely nice! It comes from the 26th dynasty in ancient Egypt. This scarab, unlike those of carved steatite, or faience is made of Lapis Lazuli. Lapis scarabs are very much sought after. This scarab is particularly nice, becuase of the specks of gold pyrite that can be seen throughout. The color is a VERY deep blue/purple color. It is very sizeable, at about 1" in length, and 3/4" in width. I am very proud to be offering this Lapis scarab for your consideration.

Here is a very rare scarab mold. This mold is not a scarab, but an actual mold that was used to produce scarabs in ancient Egypt. This mold can still be used to make plaster impressions in the same way that the ancient Egyptians did thousands of years ago. This mold illustrates the detail on the back of the scarab, and the hieroglyphic inscription. It comes with the mold impression, and measures a nice 1.5" in size! Here is a strand of mummybeads, on a necklace. These can be worn if desired, or an amulet can be added to them, much in the same way that the ancient Egyptians did. Beaded necklaces such as these were used with amulets, such as the Eye of Horus, to protect them from danger, give them courage and strength, and to honor their gods.
