Michael is now 7 years old and in first grade. He has albinism, which means he has no skin pigment. He is considered legally blind. Since he has no pigment in his eyes, this is what causes his blindness. He can see objects that are up close but anything more than a couple of feet away is just a blur.

Michael has done very well in school. He uses special equipment to enlarge his papers so he can read them. He likes school but gets into trouble for talking to much. *g*

He also loves to play video games and has quite a collection of them. Being only child he thinks he's the center of the universe, which he is....his mom and dad's.
