Perennials

Here are a few of the other perennials I have in my gardens.

Comtesse de Bouchaud Clematis

May 2000

This is the first time I've tried to grow a Clematis. This plant is a one year old start and is growing up my grapevines, it makes a good sturdy support.

Nikko Blue Hydrangea

Aren't these big blue "powder puff" blooms just lovely? They add so much to the landscape. If they only had fragance they'd be perfect. This is another low maintainance plant for me. I mulch them once a year with pine needles and keep them well watered. They bloom beautifully year after year.

I would like to try a new variety called "Royal Red" but haven't found it in a garden shop around here yet. I may have to end up ordering it by mail.

Hardy Hibiscus

These are very easy to grow from seeds.
