Game 1  Coastal Christian (VA) (18-3) vs. St. Henry (5-4)  (Boys)

Coastal Christian coach Walter Webb started the following lineup:  6-7 Sr. Terrance Woodbury, 6-4 Sr. Brandon Smalls, 6-9½ Sr. Leo Criswell, 5-10 Sr. Lance Fuller, and 5-7 Sr. Jonathan Vincent.  St. Henry coach Dave Faust countered with 6-1 Jr. Sam Lageman, 6-0 Jr. Ben Kolkmeier, 6-7 Sr. Chris Cook, 5-11 Sr. Marcus Griffin, and 5-9 So. Brandon Lenhof.

Coastal Christian shot 55.1% from the field including 11 of 24 from the three point line in a 75-46 victory over St. Henry.  The victors connected on 10 of 14 free throws and pulled down 32 rebounds.  Coastal Christian scored 26 points off 18 St. Henry turnovers.  Coastal Christian had 17 turnovers but St. Henry could only capitalize for nine points.  St. Henry shot 36% from the field, connected on seven of eight free throws, and grabbed 24 rebounds.

The victors were led by 5-11 Sr. Brian Butler with 14 points including four three point baskets.  Terrance Woodbury and 6-8 Sr. Afam Nweke added 12 points each.  Jonathan Vincent chipped in with 11 points.  Sam Lageman and Chris Cook led St. Henry with 15 and 11 points respectively.

Game 2  Cincinnati Aiken (OH) (3-4) vs. Russellville (9-4)  (Boys)

Cincinnati Aiken coach Kevin Higgins started the following lineup:  6-1 Sr. Cordero Stewart, 5-11 Jr. Keith Harris, 6-3 Sr. Allen Robinson, 5-9 Sr. Jacques Brown, and 5-6 Sr. Will McGivens.  Russellville coach Dennis Pardue countered with 6-3 So. Tyler Meacham, 6-0 So. Jerrell Mayo, 6-5 Sr. Orlando Woodard, 5-9 Sr. Patrick Temple, and 6-2 Sr. T. C. Thomason.

Russellville, behind a nine point fourth quarter effort by T. C. Thomason, erased a 43-40 third quarter deficit to defeat Aiken 59-56.  Russellville shot 37.3% from the field, connected on 13 of 15 free throws, and pulled down 40 rebounds.  Aiken shot 32.4% from the field, connected on six of 12 free throws, and grabbed 48 rebounds.  Russellville scored 18 points off 19 Aiken turnovers while Aiken scored 10 points off 17 Russellville miscues.

The victors were led by T. C. Thomason with 17 points.  Orlando Woodard was a force in the paint with 14 points and 15 rebounds.  Patrick Temple and Jerrell Mayo chipped in with 10 points each.  Will McGivens led Aiken with 16 points including four three point baskets.  Allen Robinson added 11 points and 13 rebounds while Keith Harris chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Cordero Stewart alos tallied 10 points.

Game 3  Regina (OH) (9-1) vs. Wayne County (10-2)  (Girls)

Regina coach Pat Diulus started the following lineup:  6-0 Sr. Reecy Mitchell, 5-8 Sr. Monique Godfrey, 6-0 Jr. Kalynne Proctor, 5-7 Fr. Shay Selby, and 5-7 Jr. Carla Jacobs.  Wayne County coach Tim Pyles countered with 5-9 Jr. Latoyia Green, 5-11 Sr. Ashley Bell, 5-5 Jr. Kara Gothrup, 5-7 8th grader Heather Stearns, and 5-5 Jr. Lindsey Dishman.

Regina utilized their quickness and defense to score 52 points off 42 Wayne County turnovers in a 96-49 victory.  Regina shot 60.6% from the field, connected on seven of 16 free throws, and pulled down 32 rebounds.  Wayne County shot 40% from the field, connected on 11 of 18 free throws, and pulled down 28 rebounds.  Regina took 31 more shots (71-40) from the floor than Wayne County.

Carla Jacobs led Regina with 27 points and seven steals.  Monique Godfrey added 14 points, dished out six assists, and recorded 10 steals.  Kalynne Proctor, Reecy Mitchell, and Shay Selby added 14, 12, and 12 points respectively.  5-10 8th grader Meg Latham came off the bench to lead Wayne County with 17 points and six rebounds.  Ashley Bell added nine points and eight rebounds.

Game 4  Cheatham County (TN) (12-3) vs. Clinton County (10-2)  (Girls)

Cheatham County coach Phil Carr started the following lineup:  5-10 Sr. Katie Morehead, 5-10 Jr. Abby Lawson, 6-1 Sr. Kristen Banes, 5-6 Sr. Casey Attebery, and 5-5 Jr. Katie Batts.  Clinton County coach Ronnie Guffey countered with 5-6 Jr. Jessica Cummings, 5-8 Sr. Brittany Abbot, 5-10 Sr. Dorothy Papineau, 5-8 Sr. Paige Guffey, and 5-7 Sr. Amber Guffey.

Amber Guffey scored on a layup at the buzzer to give Clinton County a 61-60 victory over Cheatham County.  Abby Lawson hit a shot to give Cheatham County a 60-59 lead with 11 seconds remaining on the clock.  Seconds later Clinton County inbounded the ball under their own basket after a dead ball situation with one second remaining on the clock.  Amber Guffey caught the ball under the basket and in the same motion layed it off the glass for the win.

Clinton County shot 45.7% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  They were 21 of 31 from the free throw line, and pulled down 33 rebounds.  Cheatham County connected on 40% of their shots including seven of 19 from the three point line.  Cheatham County visited the free throw line nine times, connecting on five shots, and pulled down 31 rebounds.

Paige Guffey led Clinton County with 22 points including four three point goals.  Paige also added eight rebounds.  Amber Guffey and Brittany Abbot added 16 and 13 points respectively.  Abby Lawson led Cheatham County with 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Katie Morehead and Kristen Banes added 15 and 11 points respectively.

Game 5  Beech (TN) (11-4) vs. Covington Holy Cross (8-1)  (Girls)

Beech coach Dennis Walker started the following lineup:  5-9 Jr. Hannah Newbill, 5-8 Sr. Shelly McDaniel, 5-9 So. Colby Wherry, 5-8 Sr. Danielle Drilling, and 5-5 Jr. Alicia Lee.  Covington Holy Cross coach Rob Kues countered with 5-10 Fr. Katie Behrens, 5-11 Jr. Rachel Lantry, 6-0 Sr. Brittany Bass, 5-6 Sr. Kimmie Beiting, and 5-9 Sr. Amie Noll.

Holy Cross held a 54%-38.3% advantage in field goal shooting in a 71-42 victory over Beech.  Holy Cross scored 24 points off 19 Beech turnovers.  Holy Cross committed 17 turnovers but Beech could only capitalize for six points.  Holy Cross also held a 34-21 advantage in rebounds.

Rachel Lantry led the victors with 18 points.  Amie Noll added 16 points, six rebounds, and nine assists.  Brittany Bass added 13 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.  Danielle Drilling led Beech with 14 points.  Shelly McDaniel and Hannah Newbill added seven points each.

Beech coach Darrin Jones started the following lineup:  6-2 Jr. Adam Thompson, 6-2 Jr. Rex Chamberlain, 6-6 Jr. Kendall Dunn, 5-9 Sr. Eric Sampson, and 6-0 Jr. Jonathan Shaw.  Lexington Catholic coach Curtis Turley countered with 6-2 Sr. P. J. Wilson, 6-3 Jr. Mike Heisenbuttel, 6-5 Sr. Rob Riddell, 5-9 Sr. Lance Snowden, and 6-2 Jr. Brian Hewitt.

Lexington Catholic scored 25 points off 18 Beech turnovers and held a 42-22 advantage in bench scoring in a 59-53 victory.  Lexington Catholic shot 41.5% from the field, connected on 11 of 17 free throws, and pulled down 33 rebounds.  Beech shot 44.4% from the field, was five of eight from the free throw line, and grabbed 28 rebounds.

6-0 Jr. Cornell Burbage and 6-6 Jr. Reid Brown came off the bench to lead Lexington Catholic with 22 and 12 points respectively.  Brian Hewitt was held to five points but he pulled down 11 rebounds, dished out eight assists, and recorded six steals.  6-1 Jr. Ben Wheeler and Rex Chamberlain led Beech with 18 and 14 points respectively.

Game 7  Winfield (WV) (5-2) vs. Lexington Catholic (13-0)  (Girls)

Winfield coach Sherrie Munsey started the following lineup:  5-8 Jr. Bre Kyle, 5-11 Jr. Natalie Kline, 5-11 Jr. Bridgette Harper, 5-7 Fr. Katie Cloxton, and 5-6 Sr. Whitnie Highland.  Lexington Catholic coach Greg Todd countered with 5-9 Sr. Adaeze Azubuike, 6-0 Jr. Anaris Sickles, 6-1 Sr. Shannon Novosel, 5-6 So. Keyla Snowden, and 5-8 Jr. Nikki Davis.

Lexington Catholic scored 55 points off 38 Winfield turnovers in an easy 104-37 victory.  The Lady Knights had 12 players in the scoring column and had 52 points on bench scoring.  Lexington Catholic shot 50% from the field, connected on 22 of 27 free throws, and pulled down 49 rebounds.  Winfield shot 31% from the field, was eight of 12 from the free throw line, and grabbed 25 rebounds.

The victors were led today by Shannon Novosel with 17 points and 12 rebounds.  5-6 Fr. Briana Green and 5-10 Fr. Natalie Novosel added 15 and 11 points respectively.  Nikki Davis and Anaris Sickles added 10 points each, with Nikki Davis dishing out 10 assists.  5-6 Sr. Lesley Server returned to action for the first time after ACL surgery and added five points including one of her patented three point bombs.  Bre Kyle and Natalie Kline led Winfield with 17 and 12 points respectively.
