This is the 7th year of the Classics. Some of the high school stars appearing over the years include Dajuan Wagner, Eddie Griffin, Jameer Nelson, Lebron James, Josh Smith, J. R. Smith, Dwight Howard, and Sebastian Telfair.
This organization is hardly resting on their laurels as they have a group of talented players scheduled to perform, including O. J. Mayo and Bill Walker (North College Hill, OH), Gerald Henderson and Wayne Ellington (Episcopal Academy, PA), Tyreke Evans (American Christian, PA), Jeff Allen, Ty Lawson, Nolan Smith, and Michael Beasley (Oak Hill Academy, VA), Daequan Cook (Dayton Dunbar, OH), and Raymar Morgan (Canton McKinley, OH).

Pleasure Ridge Park coach Dale Mabrey started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Kerry Benson, 6-1 Jr. Nick George, 6-5 Sr. Vincent Crutcher, 6-0 So. Adam Decker, and 6-1 Sr. Troy Frazier. Franklin County coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-5 Sr. Chase Straw, 6-4 Sr. Houston Hardy, 6-7 Sr. Paul Chambers, 6-0 Sr. Cameron Conner, and 6-0 Jr. Kaelin Ammons.
Franklin County pulled to within five points, 48-43, in the fourth quarter, but Pleasure Ridge Park pulled away for a 69-53 victory. Pleasure Ridge Park was 24 of 30 from the free throw line.
Pleasure Ridge Park was led by their Game MVP Vincent Crutcher with 20 points. 6-0 So. Adam Delph and Troy Frazier added 13 and 10 points respectively. 5-10 Sr. Matt Harris led Franklin County with 11 points. 6-2 Jr. Michael Scott and Franklin County Game MVP Cameron Conner added eight and seven points respectively.

Game No. 2 Henry Clay (14-4) vs. Bryan Station (11-5)
Henry Clay coach Kirk Chiles started the following lineup: 6-4 So. Aaron Boyd, 6-2 Sr. Aaron Miller, 6-4 So. Victor Moses, 5-11 Jr. Chase Minnifield, and 6-2 Sr. Aaron Dunaway. Bryan Station coach Champ Ligon countered with 6-3 Jr. Stefan Lewis, 6-2 So. Dacoby Burnett, 6-5 Jr. Jaron Jones, 5-11 Sr. De’ire Foxx, and 6-2 So. Shelvin Mack.
Bryan Station shook off a Friday night district loss to Scott County to rebound with a 73-62 victory over Henry Clay. The Defenders rebounded from a zero for 18 from beyond the arc to an eight for 19 from three point land tonight. Bryan Station held a 60-36 lead after three quarters.
Bryan Station shot 40% from the field, connected on 13 of 19 free throws and pulled down 48 rebounds. The Defenders scored 20 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers and held a 26-6 advantage in bench scoring. Henry Clay shot 34.9% from the field, connected on 13 of 29 free throws and pulled down 43 rebounds. The Blue Devils scored 16 points off 18 Bryan Station turnovers.
Shelvin Mack was named Game MVP for Bryan Station and scored 15 points. Jaron Jones added 15 points and nine rebounds. Stefan Lewis also recorded 15 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
Aaron Dunaway was named Game MVP for Henry Clay and scored 20 points. Aaron Miller and Aaron Boyd each added 11 points with Miller pulling down 12 rebounds. Victor Moses chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Game No. 3 North College Hill (12-0) vs. South Laurel (15-3)
North College Hill coach Jamie Mahaffey started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Bill Walker, 6-3 So. Courtney Davis, 6-11 Jr. Keenan Ellis, 5-11 So. Damon Butler, and 6-5 Jr. O. J. Mayo. South Laurel coach Steve Wright countered with 6-4 Sr. Walt Allen, 6-4 Jr. Jordan Hammonds, 6-8 Jr. Trey Smith, 5-11 Sr. David Goodin, and 6-4 Jr. Ty Proffitt.
North College Hill rallied from a 43-37 deficit late in the third quarter to defeat South Laurel 65-57. North College Hill raced out to a 19-5 lead before Keenan Ellis picked up his third foul with eight seconds remaining in the first quarter. Ellis had eight points at this stage but went to the bench for the rest of the half. South Laurel, led by 13 points by Jordan Hammonds, went to the locker with a 30-30 tie at halftime.
O. J. Mayo picked up his fourth foul with 5:41 left in the third quarter and went to the bench for several minutes. South Laurel took a 43-37 lead but it was trimmed to two, 43-41, at the end of the third quarter. North College Hill rallied in the final quarter and O. J. Mayo hit six free throws down the stretch to ensure the victory.
North College Hill shot 52.1% from the field, connected on 11 of 14 free throws and pulled down 27 rebounds. They scored 18 points off 10 South Laurel turnovers. North College Hill held a 40-14 advantage on points in the paint. South Laurel shot 38% from the field, connected on 12 of 18 free throws and grabbed 29 rebounds.
O. J. Mayo led North College Hill with 18 points. Keenan Ellis was named Game MVP for North College Hill and scored 14 points, pulled down six rebounds, and blocked four shots. Bill Walker added 12 points and seven rebounds, and Damon Butler added 10 points. Trey Smith was named Game MVP for South Laurel and recorded 16 points and six rebounds. Jordan Hammonds also scored 16 points and Walt Allen added 12 points and eight rebounds.

This was a fun night of basketball and 4200 fans enjoyed the show including former Cincinnati coach Bob Huggins and Kentucky coach Tubby Smith. A special thanks to Jeremy Treatman for bringing this event to Frankfort.
