Forty-eight teams are scheduled to compete for the championship.  The teams scheduled to participate are Beaumont, King, Lexington Christian Academy, Russell County, Highlands, Lexington Traditional, Tates Creek, The Lexington School, Georgetown, Morton, Boyle County, Winburn, Bryan Station, Anderson County, Elkhorn, Shelby West, Knox County, West Jessamine, Estill County, Lincoln County, Southern (Somerset), Fleming County 6th, Harrison County, Betsy Layne, Bracken County, Meece, Fleming County, Northern, Christian Academy of Louisville, Jessie Clark, Whitley County, Russellville, McNabb, Hopkins Central, Graves County, Sebastian, Mayfield, Hazard, Spencer County, Pendleton County, Calloway County, Christian County, Clay County, Royal Spring, Scott County, South Laurel, St. Joseph, and Wayne County.

Forty teams will play on Friday night to help establish bracket position for Saturday.  Calloway County, Christian County, Clay County, Royal Spring, Scott County, South Laurel, St. Joseph, and Wayne County will join the single elimination tournament on Saturday.

Conclusion

I have attempted to give a brief recap of each game played this weekend.  The stats in this report came from the game scoresheets.  I apologize in advance for any errors or misspelling of names.  This writeup is not meant to be used for official records but for general coverage of this event.

Congratulations to the Scott County Cardinals for their championship run and all the fine teams and players who participated this weekend.  Scott County had to survive overtime victories in the quarterfinal and semifinal to advance to the title game.
