Franklin County, Western Hills, Bryan Station, Scott County, Lexington Catholic, Paul Dunbar, Madison Central, and Model all advance to the 11th region tournament.   The district winners Franklin County, Bryan Station, Lexington Catholic, and Madison Central all will host first round games.   The semifinals and championship game will be played at McBrayer Arena on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University. 

Wednesday March 5th

at Bryan Station High School
Western Hills (15-13) vs. Bryan Station (28-2)

Western Hills Coach Enoch Welch started the following lineup:  6-3 Sr. Ryan Belcher, 6-2 Sr. Matt Hyatt, 6-6 Jr. Mike Satterwhite, 5-9 Jr. Darius Reed, and 6-1 Sr. Jay Van.  Bryan Station Coach Champ Ligon Jr. countered with 6-3 Sr. Dacoby Burnett, 6-1 Jr. Charles Ashford, 6-3 Sr. Terrell Combs, 6-2 Jr. Cameron Richardson, and 6-3 Sr. Shelvin Mack

Bryan Station held a 47-26 advantage in rebounds and a 25-9 advantage in second chance points in a 74-45 victory over Western Hills.   Bryan Station also held a 17-3 advantage in bench scoring.   Bryan Station shot 47.8% from the field including two of 14 from the three point line.  The Defenders connected on six of nine free throws and scored 24 points off 23 Western Hills turnovers.  Western Hills shot 31.1% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Wolverines connected on 14 of 25 free throws and scored 14 points off 20 Bryan Station turnovers. 

Dacoby Burnett led Bryan Station with 18 points and six rebounds.  Shelvin Mack added 14 points, 11 rebounds, and eight steals.  Terrell Combs chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds.  Cameron Richardson recorded 11 points.  Mike Satterwhite led Western Hills with 13 points and eight rebounds.  Jay Van added 12 points.  Matt Hyatt recorded 10 points and seven rebounds.

Model Coach Wes Scarberry started the following lineup:  6-1 Sr. Brad Trinh, 6-2 Sr. Devon Gerald, 6-3 Sr. Merrick Marriott, 5-11 Sr. Nick Dunaway, and 5-11 So. Gabe Cormney.  Lexington Catholic Coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Nathan Novosel, 6-5 Sr. Taylor Stewart, 6-6 Sr. Jordan Smart, 6-2 Jr. Taylor Botkin, and 6-3 Jr. Vee Sanford

Lexington Catholic scored 30 points off 21 Model turnovers in an 81-50 victory.   Lexington Catholic also held a 26-5 advantage in bench scoring.  

Lexington Catholic shot 50.7% from the field including four of 24 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on seven of 12 free throws and pulled down 41 rebounds.   Model shot 31% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on 12 of 21 free throws and grabbed 40 rebounds.  

Nathan Novosel led Lexington Catholic with 17 points and eight rebounds.  Vee Sanford added 16 points.  Taylor Stewart chipped in with 11 points.  Devon Gerald led Model with 18 points and 15 rebounds.  Merrick Marriott added 10 points and seven rebounds.  Nick Dunaway chipped in with nine points.

Thursday March 6th

at Madison Central High School
Paul Dunbar (20-7) vs. Madison Central (17-12)

Dunbar Coach Carl "Redd" Hutchinson started the following lineup:  6-3 Sr. De'Andre Webb, 6-3 Jr. De'Vonte Webb, 6-7 Jr. Tyler Rogers, 5-10 Jr. Nick Hudson, and 5-10 Sr. Dion Johnson.  Madison Central Coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-7 Sr. Aaron Morris, 6-2 Jr. Vince Clay, 6-7 Sr. Patrick Ford, 5-7 Jr. Tyler Mays, and 5-10 Sr. Delewis Parks

Dunbar rebounded from a 27-18 deficit at halftime to defeat Madison Central by a score of 52-50.   Madison Central was plagued by their season-long nemesis, free throw shooting, as they were only seven of 14 in the final quarter.   The Indians had one last opportunity but Patrick Ford's 15 foot jump shot at the buzzer was blocked.  

Dunbar shot 39% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on three of nine free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.   Madison Central shot 40.9% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 12 of 23 free throws, grabbed 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 10 Dunbar turnovers. 

De'Andre Webb led Dunbar with 14 points and seven rebounds.  De'Vonte Webb added 13 points and seven rebounds.  Aaron Morris led Madison Central with 17 points and 13 rebounds.  Delewis Parks added 11 points.  Patrick Ford chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Ge-Lawn Guyn, and 6-1 Sr. Jordan Adams.  Franklin County Coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-4 Jr. Ryan Conner, 6-2 So. Vance Hall, 6-8 Jr. Andy Donovan, 6-2 Jr. Barrett Meyer, and 6-0 Jr. Deron Hicks

Scott County survived a hard fought battle with Franklin County to capture a 59-54 victory.   Scott County shot 39.6% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 21 Franklin County turnovers.  Franklin County shot 36% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Flyers connected on 16 of 22 free throws, grabbed 35 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Scott County turnovers. 

Ge-Lawn Guyn led Scott County with 14 points and five rebounds.  Cameron Hundley added 12 points.  Richie Phares chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.  6-5 Sr. Tyler Portwood also reached double figures with 10 points.  Deron Hicks led Franklin County with 14 points and five rebounds.  Ryan Conner added 10 points.

Bryan Station defeated Dunbar by a score of 67-60.   Bryan Station shot 44.4% from the field including only one of 10 from the three point line.  The Defenders connected on 18 of 28 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 41.1% from the field including five of nine from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on nine of 11 free throws, grabbed 31 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 11 Bryan Station turnovers. 

Shelvin Mack led Bryan Station with 21 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Dacoby Burnett added 17 points.  Terrell Combs chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Nick Hudson led Paul Dunbar with 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  5-10 Jr. Marquis Clay, Dion Johnson, and De'Andre Webb added 11 points each.  Tyler Rogers chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 19-1 first quarter lead on their way to a 80-54 victory over Scott County.   Scott County cut the deficit to four, 54-50, in the fourth quarter but Lexington Catholic finished the game on a 26-4 run.  

Lexington Catholic shot 54.5% from the field including six of 10 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 26 of 38 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 26 Scott County turnovers.   Scott County shot 41.7% from the field including three of eight from beyond the arc.   The Cardinals connected on 11 of 15 free throws, grabbed 28 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  

Jordan Smart led Lexington Catholic with 20 points including four three point baskets.  Taylor Stewart added 16 points.  Taylor Botkin and Nathan Novosel recorded 12 points each.  Novosel pulled down seven rebounds.  Richie Phares led Scott County with 18 points and six rebounds.  Ge-Lawn Guyn added 14 points.

Lexington Catholic raced out to an 11-0 lead on their way to a 79-63 victory over Bryan Station.   Jordan Smart was unstoppable tonight as he connected on eight of 11 long range bombs.  

Lexington Catholic shot 52.6% from the field including nine of 17 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 40% from the field including 10 of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on nine of 14 free throws, grabbed 30 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers. 

Jordan Smart led Lexington Catholic with 24 points on eight three point baskets.  Taylor Stewart added 19 points and nine rebounds.  Nathan Novosel chipped in with 19 points, seven rebounds, five blocked shots.  Vee Sanford recorded 10 points eight assists, and four steals.  Montell Morones led Bryan Station with 26 points including seven three point baskets.  Charles Ashford added 19 points and eight rebounds.  Shelvin Mack recorded six points, four rebounds, and seven assists.
