The eight teams competing for the 7th Region Tournament are Fern Creek, Sacred Heart Academy, Jeffersontown, duPont Manual, Ballard, Chrisian Academy of Louisville, Moore, and Mercy Academy.
Fern Creek Coach Michelle Fries started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Monique Reid, 5-8 Sr. Sherrice Gaines, 6-2 Fr. Teonia McCune, 5-3 So. Kierra Moore, and 5-8 Fr. Holly Bernard. Sacred Heart Academy Coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Jr. Megan Smith, 5-6 So. Autumn Miller, 5-9 Fr. Morgan Clemons, 5-7 Sr. Kathryn Denbow, and 5-6 Sr. Whitney Ising.
Fern Creek outscored Sacred Heart 9-2 in overtime to claim a 69-62 victory. Fern Creek held a 28-16 lead in the second quarter but Sacred Heart ouscored Fern Creek 18-8 in the third quarter to knot the score at 40-40 at the end of three quarters. The score was tied 60-60 at the end of regulation forcing overtime. Fern Creek held a decisive 53-38 advantage in rebounds and a 20-10 advantage in second chance points.
Fern Creek shot 38.6% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Tigers connected on 13 of 21 free throws and scored 22 points off 23 Sacred Heart turnovers. Sacred Heart shot 36.9% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc. The Valkyries connected on 12 of 24 free throws, scored 24 points off 25 Fern Creek turnovers, and held a 22-13 advantage in bench scoring.
Monique Reid led Fern Creek with 32 points and 25 rebounds. Sherrice Gaines added 18 points, 15 rebounds, four blocked shots, and six steals. 5-3 Fr. Asia Grigsby chipped in with 13 points. Autumn Miller led Sacred Heart with 18 points. Megan Smith added 16 points and six rebounds. 5-11 So. Jackie Hafele chipped in with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Cami Calderon. duPont Manual Coach Stacy Pendleton countered with 5-8 Sr. TeAira Epps, 5-11 Sr. Brittany Wilson, 6-1 Jr. Avery Jones, 5-6 Jr. Jordan Trimble, and 5-7 Sr. Danielle Woodmore.
duPont Manual raced out to a 20-3 first quarter lead on their way to a 50-21 victory over Jeffersontown. Manual held Jeffersontown to 20% shooting from the field and scored 21 points off 26 Jeffersontown turnovers.
duPont Manual shot 35.2% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Crimsons connected on eight of 18 free throws and pulled down 45 rebounds. Jeffersontown shot 20% from the field including two of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Chargers connected on one of five free throws and grabbed 34 rebounds.
Avery Jones led duPont Manual with 10 points and nine rebounds. Jordan Trimble also recorded 10 points. Brittany Wilson added nine points and 12 rebounds. Shawnetta Taylor and 6-2 Fr. Lennette Holt led Jeffersontown with five points each. Holt also pulled down five rebounds.

Larissa Stafford hit a three point shot at the buzzer to give Ballard a 36-33 victory over Christian Academy of Louisville. CAL led 23-16 at halftime but Ballard held CAL scoreless in the third quarter to cut the deficit to three, 23-20, entering the final period. Ballard outscored Christian Academy of Louisville 16-10 in the final quarter to earn the victory.
Ballard shot 27.9% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Bruins connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored nine points off 16 CAL turnovers. CAL shot 34.3% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Centurions connected on seven of 14 free throws, grabbed 33 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 Ballard turnovers.
Jade Barber led Ballard with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Nicole Heitz added 10 points. Antonita Slaughter led CAL with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Brooke Willoughby added seven points.

Mercy defeated Moore by a score of 58-41. Mercy shot 34.6% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Moore turnovers. Moore shot 24.5% from the field including only four of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Mustangs connected on 11 of 21 free throws and grabbed 42 rebounds.
Ellen Sholtes led Mercy with 16 points and five rebounds. Malisa Cruz and Kelly Cox recorded nine points each. Cox also pulled down seven rebounds. Ashmere Woods led Moore with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Brandy Middleton added 11 points. Ondrea Shaw recorded five points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.

The Lady Crimsons connected on 25 of 38 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Fern Creek turnovers. Fern Creek shot 41.8% from the field including three of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Tigers connected on nine of 15 free throws, grabbed 36 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 16 Manual turnovers.
Brittany Wilson led Manual with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Avery Jones added 18 points and 15 rebounds. TeAira Epps chipped in with 13 points. Monique Reid led Fern Creek with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Sherrice Gaines added 20 points.

Ballard shot 37.8% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bruins connected on 12 of 23 free throws, grabbed 38 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Mercy turnovers.
Ellen Sholtes and Katie Wiedmar led Mercy with 11 points each. 5-9 Sr. Amy Wimsatt and Kelly Cox added 10 points each. Amy Lomax led Ballard with 12 points and nine rebounds. Jade Barber added 11 points and 14 rebounds. Larissa Stafford also recorded 11 points.

The Lady Crimsons connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Mercy turnovers. Mercy shot 32.7% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on 12 of 14 free throws, grabbed 23 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 23 Manual turnovers.
Brittany Wilson led Manual with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Danielle Woodmore added 12 points and six assists. Jordan Trimble chipped in with 11 points. Kelly Cox led Mercy with 14 points and eight rebounds. Malisa Cruz added 10 points.
