I have attempted to give a brief recap of each game played this weekend. The stats in this report came from the game scoresheets. I apologize in advance for any errors or misspelling of names. This writeup is not meant to be used for official records but for general coverage of this event.
Congratulations to the Wayne County for their championship run and to all the fine teams and players who participated this weekend. Also congratulations to Tourney MVP Logan Gardner (Wayne County) who averaged 13.7 ppg for six games. Georgetown's Clay McKee had an excellent tourney, averaging 24.3 ppg for four games.
A special thanks to Eric Armstrong, Ken Farley, Steve Hatton, Marc Hall, and the rest of the Kentucky Basketball Academy staff for the hospitality extended me this weekend. It would be impossible for me to cover these events without the outstanding cooperation and help I get from the staff.
