Franklin-Simpson (30-3) (Region 4) vs. Iroquois (29-1) (Region 6)
Franklin-Simpson coach Lex Lindsey started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Deyonna Nolan, 5-8 Sr. Brittany Payne, 6-0 So. Chastity Gooch, 5-6 Sr. Drea Gooch, and 5-5 Sr. Dominique Cook. Iroquois coach Al Northington countered with 5-9 Sr. Adia Mathies, 5-5 Sr. Stafonia Taylor, 5-9 Jr. Victoria Brown, 5-5 Sr. Kayla Hickman, and 5-6 Sr. Asia Mathies.
Iroquois outscored Franklin-Simpson 10-4 in overtime to earn a 42-36 victory. Iroquois led 23-14 after three quarters but Franklin-Simpson rallied to outscore Iroquois 18-9 in the fourth quarter to force overtime. Franklin-Simpson’s Chastity Gooch scored a basket in the closing seconds of regulation to knot the score at 32-32.
Iroquois shot 24.1% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Raiders connected on 11 of 20 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 28 Franklin-Simpson turnovers. Franklin-Simpson shot 31.4% from the field including four of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Wildcats connected on 10 of 20 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 21 Iroquois turnovers.
Kayla Hickman led Iroquois with 16 points including four three point baskets. Adia Mathies added nine points and nine rebounds. Asia Mathies chipped in with eight points and five rebounds. Victoria Brown pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds.
Chastity Gooch led Franklin-Simpson with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Drea Gooch added nine points on three three point baskets.

MacKenzie Lee scored a last second layup to give Montgomery County a 35-33 victory over Christian Academy of Louisville. The Lady Indians connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 17 CAL turnovers. CAL shot 40% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Centurions connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Montgomery County turnovers.
MacKenzie Lee and Elizabeth Prewitt led Montgomery County with eight points each.
Antonita Slaughter led CAL with 14 points and five rebounds. Clair Buchanan added six points and six rebounds.

Kendall Noble led Breathitt County with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists. Brianna Deaton added nine points on three three point baskets. Eden Keeton chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.

Megan Pittman led Casey County with 21 points and eight rebounds. Pittman was six of seven from the field and nine of 11 from the free throw line. Kayla McFarland added 12 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists. Lauren Hatter also tallied 12 points.
Hayley Meek led Johnson Central with eight points. Celena Conlet, Chelsey Salyers, and Brianns Salyer added five points each. 6-1 Sr. Emily Wireman pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.

Elizabethtown defeated LCA by a score of 56-50. Elizabethtown led 27-15 at halftime. LCA outscored Elizabethtown 23-12 in the third quarter to cut the deficit to one; 39-38 entering the final quarter. Elizabethtown outscored LCA 17-12 in the final quarter to claim the victory. LCA was only six of 32 from the three point line today as more than half their goal attemptd (32-30) came from beyond the arc.
Elizabethtown shot 44.4% from the field including seven of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Panthers connected on 17 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 30.6% from the field. The Lady Eagles connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 24 Elizabethtown turnovers.
Alex Jones led Elizabethtown with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Natalie Greenwell also tallied 19 points including four three point baskets and pulled down 10 rebounds. Jones also displayed a deft passing touch as she dished out six assists.
Sara Beth Barnette led LCA with 15 points, 11 rebounds, three blocked shots, and five steals. Anna Martin added 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Courtney Clifton recorded 11 points, including three three point baskets.

Rowan County shot 16.7% from the field including one of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Vikings connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored nine points off 19 Boone County turnovers.
Lauren Bowling led Boone County with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Joscelyn Davis added 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Caitlin Martin led Rown County with 11 points and five rebounds. Amber Riddle added eight points and seven rebounds.

Mariah Robinson led Ohio County with 16 points and six rebounds. Kaley Griffin added 12 points including three three point baskets. 5-6 8th grader Deanna Raley chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets.
Kayla Smith led Clay County with 13 points. Jordan Phillips added 12 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Whitney Belle Jackson and 5-9 Fr. Sabrina Smith also recorded 12 points each.

Iroquois overcame adversity to defeat Montgomery County by a score of 46-37. Iroquois guard Stafonia Taylor went down early with an injury. The score was tied 33-33 after three quarters but Iroquois outscored Montgomery County 13-4 in the final quarter.
Iroquois shot 36.2% from the field including three of seven from the three point line. The Lady Raiders connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 19 Montgomery County turnovers. Montgomery County shot 40% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored only two points off five Iroquois turnovers.
Adai Mathies led Iroquois with 14 points, six rebounds, and six assists. 5-8 Sr. Meka Birdsong added 12 points and five rebounds. 5-2 Jr. Carmen Talbott recorded 10 points including three three point baskets.

Elizabethtown broke the game open with a 23-8 advantage in the third quarter in a 57-33 victory over Henderson County.
Elizabethtown shot 47.7% from the field including five of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Panthers connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 11 points off eight Henderson County turnovers. Henderson County shot 25.5% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Colonels connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored thee points off nine Elizabethtown turnovers.
Alex Jones led Elizabethtown with 19 points and nine rebounds. Adelaide Luckett added 12 points. Dorian Downs chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.
Alyse Poindexter led Henderson County with 10 points, nine rebounds, and five blocked shots. Olivia Fruit added six points.

Elizabethtown shot 42.9% from the field including five of 11 from beyond the arc. The Lady Panthers connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 11 points off nine Iroquois turnovers.
Asia Mathies led Iroquois with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Meka Birdsong added 12 points. Adia Mathies recorded 10 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Kayla Hickman chipped in with 10 points.
Alex Jones led Elizabethtown with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Terra Lucas added 11 points.
