St. Xavier coach Kevin Klein countered with 6-5 Sr. Nick Spalding, 6-4 Sr. Matt Lohr, 6-5 Sr. Kyle Rizenbergs, 6-0 Sr. Patrick Butcher, and 5-10 Jr. Michael Ising.
St. Xavier connected on six three point baskets in the first quarter to take a 28-14 lead on their way to a 78-51 victory over Hopkins County Central. Hopkin County Central’s chances dimmed when point guard Je’Vonte Hughes left the game with a knee injury.
Patrick Butcher led St. Xavier with 13 points including three three point baskets. Matt Lohr and Kyle Rizenbergs added 12 and 11 points respectively.
Daniel Croft, Nikee Caldwell, and 5-7 So. Jalen Baxter led Hopkins County Central with 10, eight, and eight points respectively.

Trinity captured the championship with a 60-58 overtime victory over Lexington Catholic. Trinity held a 29-15 lead at halftime but Lexington Catholic rallied to take a 46-38 lead in the fourth quarter. Trinity fought back to tie the game at 49-49 on a basket by Josh Sewell. Lexington Catholic took a 51-49 lead on two free throws by Jaylen Beckham with 26 seconds left in regulation. Trinity’s Charles Foster hit two free throws with 13 seconds left to tie the score at 51-51 and force overtime. 5-11 So. Troy Saxton led Trinity in overtime with four points.
Trinity shot 48.9% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line. The Shamrocks connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 40% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 19 Trinity turnovers.
Taylor Epley led Trinity with 21 points including four three point baskets and pulled down seven rebounds. Josh Sewell added 17 points and six rebounds.
Jaylen Beckham led Lexington Catholic with 27 points. Beckham was 10 of 14 from the field including one of two from beyond the arc and six of seven from the free throw line. Scott Schuette added nine points and Taylor Martin recorded eight points and eight rebounds.
