Bowling Green coach Lavonda Johnson started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Zoe Sibalich, 5-8 Sr. Adrienne Tarrence, 5-9 Jr. Kendra Barnett, 5-6 Sr. Alexis Lawrence, and 5-4 So. Brittany Vaughn. Walton-Verona coach Cory Miller countered with 5-11 Sr. Kelli Dixon, 5-8 So. Molly Clinkenbeard, 5-11 So. Courtney Sandlin, 5-5 Jr. Jenalee Ginn, and 5-5 Jr. Kara Taulbee.
Bowling Green led 25-21 at halftime and pulled away in the second half to earn a 58-32 victory over Walton-Verona. Walton-Verona only shot 15.4% from the field in the second half. Bowling Green scored 25 points off 21 Walton-Verona turnovers.
Bowling Green shot 39.2% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line. The Purples connected on 11 of 15 free throws and pulled down 29 rebounds. Walton-Verona shot 29.5% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bearcats connected on one of three free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and did not score on seven Bowling Green turnovers.
Alexis Lawrence led Bowling Green with 23 points including four three point baskets and recorded four steals. Brittany Vaughn added 12 points and six rebounds. Zoe Sibalich chipped in with 11 points. Adrienne Tarrence recorded six points, six rebounds, and six assists.
Kara Taulbee led Walton-Verona with 12 points on four three point baskets. Courtney Sandlin added seven points and eight rebounds. Kelli Dixon chipped in with six points.

Manual raced out to a 22-8 first quarter and substituted liberally in a 78-40 victory over Crittenden County. Manual shot 57.9% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Crimsons connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 18 turnovers. Crittenden County shot 38.5% from the field including one of four from beyond the arc. The Lady Rockets connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored one point off five Manual turnovers.
Mechael Guess led Manual with 14 points. Kara Wright added 13 points. Kayla Styles recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.
Jessi Hodge led Crittenden County with 11 points. Summer Courtney added eight points and five rebounds. Laken Tabor chipped in with seven points.

Butler led 34-24 late in the third quarter but Perry County Central rallied to take a 40-39 lead with a little over two minutes left in the game before falling to Butler 42-40. Aareon Smith recaptured the lead for Butler with a tip-in with 1:48 remaining in the game. Perry County Central misses two shots in the closing seconds. Perry County Central star Kendall Noble went out with a knee injury in the first quarter. She attempted to play again in the third quarter but went down again and was helped from the floor.
Butler shot 30.6% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line. The Bearettes connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 24 Perry County Central turnovers. Perry County Central shot 42.9% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored four points off 15 Butler turnovers.
Heather Wheat led Butler with 14 points including three three point baskets, and added five rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Aareon Smith added eight points and seven rebounds. Danielle Lawrence also scored eight points.
Kayla Rankin led Perry County Central with 14 points and 12 rebounds. 5-10 Sr. Alyssa Pratt added 11 points. Whitney Back recorded nine points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Montgomery County shot 38.6% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Marion County turnovers.
Makayla Epps led Marion County with 14 points and eight assists. Kyvin Goodin-Rogers added 14 points, six rebounds, and four blocked shots. Bre Elder also recorded 14 points.
Destiney Taul led Montgomery County with 14 points and six rebounds. Erica Rogers added nine points. Macie Spence recorded seven points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots.

Sheldon Clark shot 53.8% from the field including five of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 27 of 35 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Boyd County turnovers. Boyd County shot 36.2% from the field including nine of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Lions connected on eight of 16 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off 15 Sheldon Clark turnovers. Boyd County attempted 19 more shots (58-39) from the field than Sheldon Clark.
Katelyn Newsome led Sheldon Clark with 23 points. Carla Booth added 21 points including 13 of 15 from the free throw line, and added eight rebounds, seven assists, and four steals. Kandice Porter recorded 16 points, six rebounds, and five blocked shots. Hannah Spurlock chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.
5-8 8th grader Logan Fraley led Boyd County with 18 points including five three point baskets. Kelsey Plybon added 17 points. Kelcie Chaney recorded nine points and six assists.

Calloway County defeated Newport Central Catholic 62-57 in overtime. Newport Central Catholic led by 10; 22-12 in the second quarter and Calloway County held a seven point lead; 34-27 in the third quarter. Newport Central Catholic’s Kiley Bartels hit two free throws with four seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 53-53. Calloway County missed a three pointer at the buzzer and the game went to overtime. Taylor Futrell scored six points in overtime to lead Calloway County to victory.
Calloway County shot 43.8% from the field including one of nine from the three point line. The Lakers connected on 19 of 31 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 22 Newport Central Catholic turnovers. Newport Central Catholic shot 34% from the field including seven of 13 from beyond the arc. The Thoroughbreds connected on 18 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Calloway County turnovers. 5-4 Jr. Olivia Huber, Brittany Fryer, and Aubrey Muench all fouled out for Newport Central Catholic.
Averee Fields led Calloway County with 30 points, nine rebounds, four assists, five blocked shots, and six steals. Alyssa Cunningham added 12 points and eight rebounds. Abby Futrell and Taylor Futrell each recorded eight points.
Hannah Thiem led Newport Central Catholic with 18 points including five three point baskets. Nicole Kiernan added 17 points including nine of nine from the free throw line and 11 rebounds. Kiley Bartels chipped in with 14 points, six assists, and three steals.

Madison Central led 46-42 after three quarters but Rockcastle County rallied to earn a 55-52 victory in a thriller. Rockcastle County took the lead for good 54-52 on a basket by Angie Lawrence with less than 30 seconds remaining on the clock. Madison Central had three shots at the basket in the last 20 seconds but could not find the range.
Rockcastle County shot 41.7% from the field including one of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on 14 of 24 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 41.7% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored eight points off seven Rockcastle County turnovers.
Sara Hammond led Rockcastle County with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Shanlee Burton added 11 points. Angie Lawrence recorded 10 points and five steals.

Clay County defeated Owensboro Catholic by a score of 61-48 in a game that had more drama than the final score indicated. Clay County led 20-10 after the first quarter and 32-23 at halftime and appeared to be coasting toward a victory. Clay County lost PG Kayla Smith late in the third quarter with an injury and post player Whitney Belle Jackson fouled out early in the final quarter. The rejuvenated Owensboro Catholic team cut the deficit to two; 42-40. Clay County rallied behind Jr. guard Alisha Mitchell and pulled away for the victory.
Clay County shot 64.9% from the field including one of four from the three point line. The Lady Tigers connected on 12 of 22 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Owensboro Catholic turnovers. Owensboro Catholic shot 37% from the field including six of 26 from beyond the arc. The Lady Aces connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Clay County turnovers.
Alisha Mitchell led Clay County with 20 points. Kayla Smith added 13 points. Whitney Belle Jackson chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds. Morgan Chestnut recorded six points and seven rebounds.

Bowling Green led 27-23 at halftime but DuPont Manual rallied to earn a 48-36 victory. It was a tale of two halves for Bowling Green as they raced out to an early 8-3 lead behind eight quick points by Zoe Sibalich. Bowling Green shot 52.4% in the first half. The second half was another story as Bowling Green could only manage two field goals and shot 12.5% from the field.
DuPont Manual shot 35.4% from the field including zero of seven from the three point line. The Lady Crimsons connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 16 Bowling Green turnovers. Bowling Green shot 35.1% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc. The Purples connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored five points off eight Manual turnovers.
Leasia Wright led Manual with 14 points. Mechael Guess added 13 points and nine rebounds. Kara Wright chipped in with nine points and six rebounds. Kayla Styles recorded seven points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Marion County defeated Butler by a score of 41-26. The score was tied 15-15 midway through the second quarter but Marion County closed out the quarter with a 10-1 to take a 25-16 lead at halftime. Marion County shot 35.7% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Butler turnovers. Butler shot 25.7% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Bearettes connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored three points off seven Marion County turnovers.
Kyvin Goodin-Rogers led Marion County with 12 points and nine rebounds. Makayla Epps added 10 points and five assists. Bre Elder and Patrice Tonge chipped in with nine and eight points respectively.
Aareon Smith led Butler with seven points and four rebounds. 5-9 So. Alexis Stallard added six points. Heather Wheat pulled down six rebounds.

The Lakers connected on 16 of 18 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Sheldon Clark turnovers. Sheldon Clark shot 39.1% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Calloway turnovers.
Averee Fields led Calloway County with 22 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Taylor Futrell added 14 points. Karlee Wilson chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets. Alyssa Cunningham recorded seven points and 10 rebounds.

Rockcastle County led 19-18 at halftime and pulled away in the second half to defeat Clay County 47-30. It was a tough night for Clay County seniors Kayla Smith and Whitney Belle Jackson. Smith suffered an ankle injury last night and saw limited action tonight. Whitney Belle Jackson also suffered an ankle injury tonight and was hampered with foul problems which limited her to 17 minutes on the court and fouled out of the game.
Rockcastle County shot 36.4% from the field including three of nine from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 18 Clay County turnovers. Clay County shot 36.4% from the field including two of six from beyond the arc. The Lady Tigers connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Rockcastle County turnovers.

DuPont Manual defeated Marion County in a 56-54 thriller today to advance to the championship game. Marion County raced out to a 7-0 lead for their longest lead of the day and DuPont Manual led early in the third quarter by a score of 36-27. The score was tied seven times and there were 13 lead changes. Marion County led 52-50 midway through the fourth quarter. Manual regained the lead and Marion County missed three shots in the closing seconds of the game.
DuPont Manual shot 45.5% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Crimsons connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight Marion County turnovers. Marion County shot 38% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 Manual turnovers.
Mechael Guess led DuPont Manual with 13 points and seven rebounds. Leasia Wright also scored 13 points. Kara Wright chipped in with nine points and 10 rebounds. Raven Hester added eight points and six rebounds. Kayla Styles recorded six points and eight rebounds.
Kyvin Goodin-Rogers led Marion County with 20 points including seven of seven from the free throw line. Makayla Epps added 18 points and four assists. Bre Elder recorded nine points and eight rebounds.

Rockcastle County shot 48% from the field including one of nine from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 13 Calloway County turnovers. Calloway County shot 30% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lakers connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 15 Rockcastle County turnovers. Note: today’s attendance 5840 is a new record for the semifinals.

Angie Lawrence hit a jumper with 0.5 seconds on the clock to give Rockcastle County a 62-60 overtime victory over DuPont Manual in a thriller tonight. DuPont Manual led 37-28 early in the third quarter but Rockcastle County rallied and held a 53-49 lead with 1:38 left in regulation. Rockcastle County missed the front end of a one-and-one and had a costly turnover allowing DuPont Manual to tied the game at 53-53. Angie Lawrence hit two free throws to give Rockcastle County a 55-53 lead. DuPont Manual’s Kayla Styles hit a field goal in the closing seconds to tie the game at 55-55 and force overtime.
DuPont Manual was shorthanded in overtime as Raven Hester fouled out late in regulation and Mechael Guess fouled out midway through the overtime period. The score was tied at 60-60 setting the stage for Angie Lawrence’s last second heroics as the Lady Rockets would not be denied tonight in this classic battle for the championship.
Rockcastle County shot 50% from the field including six of nine from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored seven points off seven DuPont Manual turnovers. DuPont Manual shot 43.1% from the field including three of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Crimsons connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Rockcastle County turnovers. Note: tonight’s attendance is a new record for the championship and also helps set a new record for total attendance for the tournament).
Sara Hammond led Rockcastle County with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocked shots. Hammond had 19 points in the first half which was instrumental in keeping her team in the game at that point. Angie Lawrence added 18 points including four three point baskets. Sydney Arvin chipped in with nine points. 5-8 So. Michaela Hunter had a big game off the bench with seven points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
Leasia Wright led DuPont Manual with 19 points. Kara Wright added 12 points. Kayla Styles chipped in with 11 points, five rebounds, and four blocked shots. Mechael Guess recorded 11 points and eight rebounds.
