Hopkinsville coach Tim Haworth started the following lineup: 6-5 So. Jaqualis Matlock, 6-3 Sr. Jordan Majors, 6-4 Jr. Jamonte Davis, 6-1 Sr. T.J. Elam, and 6-2 Jr. Tra Edwards. Collins coach Chris Gaither countered with 6-4 Sr. Dwayne Marshall, 6-3 Jr. Masai Whyte, 6-6 Sr. Terez Smith, 5-8 Sr. Buddy Johnson, and 6-0 So. Brent Kidwell.
Collins took an early 15-4 lead but Hopkinsville rallied to eke out a 59-58 victory. Hopkinsville’s Jaqualis Matlock scored on a put back in the final 30 seconds to give Hopkinsville what proved to be the winning basket. The score was tied six times with 11 lead changes. Hopkinsville shot 42.3% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line. The Tigers connected on 10 of 10 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Collins turnovers. Collins shot 41.2% from the field including seven of 13 from beyond the arc. The Titans connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 19 Hopkinsville turnovers.
Jordan Majors led Hopkinsville with 22 points and six rebounds. 5-10 Jr. Demarius Henry added 12 points on four three point baskets. Jaqualis Matlock recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.
Dwayne Marshall led Collins with 17 points. Buddy Johnson added 15 points including four three point baskets. 6-3 Jr. Ralphie Stone chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds. Brent Kidwell dished out eight assists.

Fairdale scored 32 points off 20 Apollo turnovers in a 78-41 victory. Fairdale shot 48.5% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line. The Bulldogs connected on nine of 13 free throws and pulled down 42 rebounds. Fairdale attempted 27 more shot from the field (66-39) than Apollo. Apollo shot 46.2% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on four of 13 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored five points off eight Fairdale turnovers.
Josh Payne led Fairdale with 25 points and seven rebounds. Cory Thomas added 24 points and five rebounds. Darren Lowrey recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Cameron Tutt led Apollo with 12 points and five rebounds. Sam Sergeant added eight points and five assists. Hunter Bivin recorded six points and seven rebounds.

St. Xavier vs. Madison Central
St. Xavier coach Kevin Klein started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Alex Jones, 6-0 Sr. Justin Moody, 6-9 Sr. Brock Kiesler, 5-11 Jr. Robert Shaw, and 5-10 Sr. Will Glasford. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus countered with 6-4 Sr. Quan Taylor, 6-1 Sr. Daniel Parke, 6-4 Sr. Hunter Stocker, 6-1 Sr. Ken-Jah Bosley, and 6-1 Sr. Dominique Hawkins.
St. Xavier led 41-27 in the third quarter but Madison Central rallied and Ken-Jah Bosley nailed a long three pointer at the buzzer to force overtime. Bosley hit another key basket in overtime to lead Madison Central to a 79-76 overtime victory. The score was tied six times and there were lead changes in the game. Madison Central lost Daniel Parke, Dominique Hawkins, and Quan Taylor via the foul route while Brock Kiesler and Christian Hardy fouled out for St. Xavier. Two unsung heroes tonight for Madison Central were 6-1 Jr. DeMarcus George and 6-3 So. Sam Jones who combined for 18 points and 11 rebounds in a total of 25:20 minutes of playing time coming off the bench. 5-7 Jr. Coty Alexander also added eight points including two three point baskets in a reserve role.
Madison Central shot 38% from the field including nine of 20 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 17 St. Xavier turnovers. Madison Central held a 26-5 advantage in bench scoring. St. Xavier shot 47.2% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Tigers connected on 21 of 33 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Madison Central turnovers.
Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 24 points. Ken-Jah Bosley added 15 points including three three point baskets. DeMarcus George chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds. Quan Taylor recorded seven points and 10 rebounds.
Alex Jones led St. Xavier with 28 points and nine rebounds. Will Glasford added 12 points and eight rebounds. Robert Shaw chipped in with 11 points and six assists. Brock Kiesler recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds. Justin Moody also reached double figures with 10 points.

Trinity attempted 23 more shots from the field (47-24) than Mountain Pointe. Mountain Pointe shot 50% from the field including four of seven from beyond the arc. The Pride connected on two of eight free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored seven points off five Trinity turnovers.
Darryl Hicks led Trinity with 13 points. Miles Rice and DeMarcus Page added 11 and 10 points respectively.

LaMontray Harris led PRP with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots. 6-1 Sr. Taywan Taylor added 24 points and four steals. Antonio McDaniels chipped in with 12 points and three steals. Angelo Hunter also scored 12 points.
Shamiek Sheppard led South Shore with 30 points and six rebounds. Terrence Samuel added 20 points, six rebounds, and seven steals. Madison Central trailed 50-34 in the third quarter but rallied to defeat Fairdale 87-86 in overtime. Madison Central trailed 75-70 with 27 seconds remaining in regulation. Madison Central’s Ken-Jah Bosley was fouled on a three point attempt and hit two of three free throws. Fairdale was also assessed a technical foul and Bosley connected on one of two free throws. Madison Central then got possession of the ball and scored to tie the game at 75-75. Fairdale missed a last second field goal attempt and the game went to overtime and Madison Central eked out the win. There were eight lead changes and 12 ties in this contest.

Ballard attempted 23 more shots (79-56) from the field than Hopkinsville and held a 22-7 advantage in second chance points. Hopkinsville shot 51.8% from the field (63% in the first half) including six of 15 from beyond the arc. The Tigers connected on five of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored five points off nine Ballard turnovers.
