Conclusion
This was a great event with excellent teams and star players. One fact is apparent to me at this time, barring injuries Marion County will not only be difficult to deny a state championship I don’t see anyone beating them this season. They are aggressive, talented, and extremely focused this season. There are several very talented teams in the state but Marion County is playing at another level at this time. They can score but their defense triggers the “runs” that can turn a close game into a rout. However, basketball in Kentucky is always competitive and the games are played on the court and not on paper. I don’t see this team becoming complacent because they still feel they have unfinished business (a state title) and I don’t see Coach Milby taking his foot off the pedal until they accomplish their goals.
