The score was tied 19-19 at halftime but Newport Central Catholic outscored Glasgow 20-11 in the third quarter on their way to a 54-50 victory. Newport Central Catholic shot 35.8% from the field including one of eight from the three point line. The Thoroughbreds connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 23 Glasgow turnovers. Glasgow shot 45.9% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc.
