Ben Weyer, 6-8 Sr. Jake Schulte, 5-11 Jr. Zach Pangallo, and 6-2 Sr. Tanner Moeves.  Mitchell coach Faragi Phillips countered with 6-5 Jr. Khalil Spencer, 6-1 Sr. Reginald Moore, 6-6 Jr. Devonte Shipp, 5-9 Sr. Kareem Austin, and 5-10 Jr. Naba Echols.

 

Newport Central Catholic defeated Mitchell (TN) by a score of 68-47.  Newport Central Catholic shot 61.4% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Thoroughbreds connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 14 Mitchell turnovers.  Mitchell shot 36.4% from the field including three of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Tigers connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 12 Newport Central Catholic turnovers.  Mitchell held a 20-9 advantage in bench points.

 

Tanner Moeves led Newport Central Catholic with 19 points.  Drew McDonald added 16 points and six rebounds.  Jake Schulte recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, and four blocked shots.

 

Khalil Spencer led Mitchell with 17 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  6-4 Sr. Antone Garrett added nine points and 6-3 Jr. Jeremiah Martin chipped in with eight points.

Cory Thomas led Fairdale with 27 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and six steals.  Caleb Longacre added 26 points.  Terik Mason recorded nine points and 13 rebounds.

The score was tied 34-34 at halftime but Pleasure Ridge Park pulled away in the third quarter on their way to an 80-71 victory.  There were five lead changes and seven ties in this game.  Pleasure Ridge Park shot 51.5% from the field including one of 12 from the three point line.  The Panthers connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 41.4% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 17 of 29 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Pleasure Ridge Park turnovers.

 

Lamontray Harris led Pleasure Ridge Park with 34 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Antonio McDaniels added 20 points.  D’Angelo Hunter recorded seven points and 13 rebounds.

Raymond Spalding led Trinity with 17 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Trey Ivory added 11 points.  Jax Levitch chipped in with six points and seven rebounds.
