Woodford County coach Scott Hundley started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Sawyer Scandore, 6-0 Sr. Sam Souers, 6-3 Jr. Colton McCrady, 5-10 Sr. Grayson Graf, and 5-11 Sr. Eli Boggess. Franklin County coach Tommy Johnson countered with 6-3 Sr. Chris Roberts, 6-2 Jr. Ryan Schneider, 6-4 Sr. Demetrius Wiley, 5-11 Sr. Rylan Rowe, and 6-0 Sr. Lorenzo McCaskell.
Woodford County eked out a 67-66 victory over Franklin County in a game that went back and forth all evening. There were 17 lead changes and 16 ties in the game. Eli Boggess hit a basket with 14.4 seconds on the clock to give Woodford County a 67-66 lead. Franklin County missed a shot in the closing seconds for the win.
Woodford County shot 46.2% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line. The Yellow Jackets connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Franklin County turnovers. Franklin County shot 50% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc. The Flyers connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 Woodford County turnovers.
Eli Boggess led Woodford County with 27 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Grayson Graf added 17 points including two three point baskets. Sam Souers recorded 12 points.
Lorenzo McCaskell led Franklin County with 21 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and four steals. Chris Roberts added 16 points and six rebounds. Rylan Rowe recorded 15 points. Demetrius Wiley chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds. Ryan Schneider pulled down eight rebounds and dished out five assists.
