Model Lab vs. Madison Central (Girls)
Model Lab coach Bobby Storie started the following lineup: 5-6 7th grader Nia Akande, 5-7 Jr. Hayley Hunt, 5-8 Sr. Darrian Botts, 5-5 8th grader Julia Smith, and 5-5 Fr. Abby Vicars. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-9 Jr. Raevin Cain, 5-9 Fr. Lindsey Johns, 6-2 Sr. Shadae Bosley, 5-5 Sr. Bailey O’Bryan, and 5-7 Sr. Hailey Christian.
Madison Central dominated action tonight as they defeated Model Lab by a score of 66-35. Madison Central enjoyed a 24-6 advantage on the offensive boards and held a 23-6 advantage in second effort points. Madison Central attempted 29 more shots (62-33) from the field than Model Lab. Madison Central shot 46.8% from the field including three pf 11 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 21 Model Lab turnovers. Model Lab shot 33.3% from the field including one of five from beyond the arc. The Lady Patriots connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored seven points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.
Shadae Bosley led Madison Central with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots. Bailey O’Bryan added 10 points and five assists. 5-5 So. Emily Willoughby chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals. 5-8 Fr. Kasi Schneid recorded eight points. Hailey Christian added seven points and four rebounds.
Darrian Botts led Model Lab with 22 points and nine rebounds. Hayley Hunt added 13 points.

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus countered with 6-1 Sr. DeMarcus George, 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Johnson, 6-4 Jr. Sam Jones, 5-10 Jr. Kirkland Humphrey, and 6-2 So. Cameron Thomas.
Madison Central defeated Model Lab by a score of 77-64. Madison Central shot 43.1% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 18 of 28 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 21 Model Lab turnovers. Model Lab shot 37.5% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on 26 of 35 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers.
DeMarcus George led Madison Central with 20 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Sam Jones added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Cameron Thomas chipped in with 11 points. Kirkland Humphrey added 10 points. Isaiah Johnson recorded eight points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Ephraim Otieno led Model Lab with 22 points including 11 of 13 free throws. Keith Mason added 18 points including 10 of 14 free throws and recorded four assists. Zack Rice-Gordon recorded 16 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.

Madison Southern vs. Berea (Girls)
Madison Southern coach Summer Simmons started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Briana Lanham, 5-10 Jr. Kristen Hayes, 5-10 Jr. Rachel Ramey, 5-4 Jr. Kelley Freeman, and 5-6 Jr. Samantha Parms. Berea coach Jennifer Cornett countered with 5-10 Fr. Alex Horn, 5-9 Fr. Conner Coyle, 5-10 Jr. Victoria Sexton, 5-5 Fr. Jordan Sandefur, and 5-7 Sr. Chase Fain.
Berea led 36-29 early in the final quarter but Madison Southern rallied for a 50-49 victory. 6-0 Fr. Marley Lawson only scored three points tonight for Madison Southern but her field goal and free throw with 27 seconds remaining in the game was the deciding margin in a very exciting hard fought contest with both teams leaving it all on the floor tonight. The score was tied 10 times and there were eight lead changes in the contest.
Madison Southern shot 35.6% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 34% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Madison Southern turnovers.
Briana Lanham turned in a “monster’ performance tonight with 26 points and 21 rebounds. Kristen Hayes added 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Jordan Sandefur led Berea with 17 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds. Chase Fain finished up a distinguished career for the Lady Pirates and added 10 points.

The Pirates connected on 17 of 29 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Madison Southern turnovers.
Michael Jefferson led Madison Southern with 13 points, nine assists, and three steals. 5-9 So. Brandon Sargent added 13 points including three three point baskets. Tanner Kidwell chipped in with 12 points and 6-1 So. Stacy Burns recorded 10 points.
Dustin Kates led Berea with 11 points and four rebounds. Jarrel Tevis also scored 11 points. Trey Terrill recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists. 6-1 So. Shyiem Alexander also scored 10 points and pulled down five rebounds.

Madison Central shot 45.5% from the field including eight of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 14 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 32.7% from the field including three of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers.
Bailey O’Bryan led Madison Central with 21 points, five assists, and three steals. Lindsey Johns added 18 points including three three point baskets. Hailey Christian chipped in with 15 points including three three point baskets and three assists. Raevin Cain and Shadae Bosley each pulled down seven rebounds.
Kristen Hayes led Madison Southern with 25 points. Briana Lanham added 10 points and 13 rebounds. Kelley Freeman also scored 10 points.

The Eagles connected on 23 of 38 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored two points off four Madison Central turnovers.
Cameron Thomas led Madison Central with 21 points, five rebounds, and six assists. Isaiah Johnson added 16 points, four blocked shots, and three steals. 6-0 So. Michael Clay chipped in with 12 points on six of six from the field. Kirkand Humphrey and 5-9 Sr. Coty Alexander each recorded nine points. Sam Jones recorded eight points and eight rebounds. DeMarcus George chipped in with seven points and 11 rebounds.
Devante Linville led Madison Southern with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Trevor Huff and 6-2 So. Andrew Miller each scored nine points. Tanner Kidwell recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
