Bardstown coach James “Boo” Brewer started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Jayquez Smith, 5-9 Jr. Eljay Cowherd, 6-7 Sr. Seivon Schooling, 5-6 Jr. Keanu Young, and 5-8 Sr. Tavon Johnson.  Clinton County coach Todd Messer countered with 6-2 Sr. Colby Langford, 6-1 Jr. Lance Claywell, 6-7 Jr. Cole Nelson, 6-0 Jr. Keifer Dalton, and 6-0 Sr. Clay Choate.

 

Bardstown trailed 40-39 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Clinton County by a score of 60-51.  There were eight lead changes and one tie in the game.  Bardstown shot 45.1% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Tigers connected on 11 of 21 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 19 Clinton County turnovers.  Bardstown held a 17-2 advantage in bench scoring. Clinton County shot 45.2% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored two points off 10 Bardstown turnovers.

 

Seivon Schooling led Bardstown with 15 points and 13 rebounds.  Keanu Young added 12 points and four assists.  Eljay Cowherd chipped in with eight points.

 

Keifer Dalton led Clinton County with 18 points including eight of 10 free throws.  Colby Langford added 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Lance Claywell chipped in with 12 points.  Cole Nelson pulled down eight rebounds.

Brandon Hatton led Dixie Heights with 34 points including three three point baskets and 17 of 18 free throws.  Liam Rabe also reached double figures with 10 points.  Andrew Hedger chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.

 

David Simmons led Henderson County with 23 points including three three point baskets.  Brady Norman and Kaleb Duckworth chipped in with 13 and 10 points respectively.

5-10 Sr. Felix Frimpong led Cordia with 17 points including four three point baskets.  Christen Cunningham added 15 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.  Oumar Keita pulled down eight rebounds and blocked three shots.

 

Chris Porter-Bunton led Warren Central with 15 points and seven rebounds.  Jared Savage added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Byron Carver recorded eight points and 11 rebounds.

Camron Justice led Knott County Central with 23 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and seven assists.  Evan Hall added 22 points and eight rebounds.  Hall was 10 of 10 from the field and two of five from the free throw line.  Keegan Sammons chipped in with 12 points.  Simon Christon recorded six points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

Lexington Catholic shot 44.9% from the field including one of eight from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 36.4% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored six points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Tanner Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Robert Dence also scored 13 points and pulled down six rebounds.  Jarod Griffin recorded 11 points and four steals.  Michael Talbott also reached double figures with 10 points.  Reese Ryan pulled down nine rebounds.

 

Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 18 points and 17 rebounds.  Lance Blakley added 11 points.  Dontavion “Lucky” Jackson  chipped in with 10 points.
