East Carter trailed 33-30 after three quarters but outscored Paul Laurence Dunbar 24-8 in the final quarter to earn a 54-41 victory. East Carter shot 36.4% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line. The Lady Raiders connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 23 Paul Laurence Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 44.7% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 East Carter turnovers.
Megan Stickler led East Carter with 11 points and six rebounds. Kristen Mayo added 11 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Haley Hall recorded eight points and six assists. 5-5 Sr. Abby Damron added seven points including two three point baskets.
