Boys 9th Grade There were thirty teams entered in this division. They were placed into eight pools as follows: Pool A: Shining Stars-Lay, Hoop Dreams Black, River City Rockets, and Attucks Wolfpack. Pool B: KY Stars, Next Level, K-Y Players, and Kryptonite. Pool C: Lexington Elite, BG Sonics, WKY Elite, and HLB-DE. Pool D: Shining Stars-Holland, HLB-RM, PAL Heat, and KY Heat. Pool E: Louisville Bulls, HLB-HG, Hoop Dreams Orange, and Woodford. Pool F: First Step Select, Louisville Magic, KY Select, and Lexington Lightning. Pool G: KY Thunder, Lexington Future, and Bengals. Pool H: Louisville Lightning, Legacy Elite, and Cameron Hoskins All Stars.

Shining Stars-Lay 59 Hoop Dreams Orange 44 (Quarterfinal) Adam Kunkel (Cooper) and Terry Durham (Winton Woods OH) led the victors with 22 and 14 points respectively. Tove C. and Dalton P. led Hoop Dreams Orange with 10 and nine points respectively.
Louisville Magic 81 KY Heat 55 (Quarterfinal)
Attucks Wolfpack 80 Louisville Lightning 55 (Quarterfinal) Detorrion Ware (Christian County), Shorty Cager (Hopkinsville), C. Trice, and J. Johnson led Attucks Wolfpack with 22,12,12, and 12 points respectively. Wyatt Battaile (Pikeville), Isaac Caudill (Knott County Central), and Gillis led Louisville Lightning with 14, 12, and 12 points respectively. Battaile also recorded four three point baskets.
Shining Stars-Lay 62 Lexington Future 58 (Semifinal) Terry Durham (Winton Woods OH) led the victors with 28 points. Adam Kunkel (Cooper) added 23 points including four three point baskets. Isaiah Garrison (Mason County) led Lexington Future with 21 points. Trevon Faulkner (Mercer County) added 11 points.
Louisville Magic 74 Attucks Wolfpack 68 (Semifinal) Steven Fitzgerald (Southwestern) led Louisville Magic with 30 points. Delonta Wimberly (Ballard) added 10 points. Shorty Cager (Hopkinsville) and Detorrion Ware (Christian County) led Attucks Wolfpack with 25 and 16 points respectively.
Louisville Magic 68 Shining Stars-Lay 56 (Championship) Steven Fitzgerald (Southwestern) led Louisville Magic with 26 points. Danny Butts (Southwestern) added 17 points including three three point baskets. Aiden Ruthsatz (Covington Catholic), Terry Durham (Winton Woods OH), and Austin Lay (Covington Catholic) led Shining Stars-Lay with 18, 14, and 10 points respectively.

MATTS Mustangs 75 WKY 51 (Quarterfinal) Taveion Hollingsworth (Paul Laurence Dunbar), Tim Dalton (Lawrence County), and Mason Blair (Johnson County) led MATTS Mustangs with 17, 15, and 14 points respectively. Dalton Payne (Franklin Simpson) and Javen Rushin (Eastern) led WKY with 12 and 11 points respectively.
KY Hoopsters 81 KY Grind 2017 73 (Quarterfinal) Landon Powell (Somerset), Treyvon Sylvester (Pulaski County), Cooper Watts (Scott County), and Noah Young (Lincoln County) led KY Hoopsters with 20, 19, 16, and 14 points respectively.
Jake Duby (Sayre), Luke Johnson (Lafayette), Cameron Greenup (Lafayette), and Jordan Davis (George Rogers Clark) led KY Grind 2017 with 24, 16, 15, and 15 points respectively.
WKY Elite 76 Next Level 56 (Quarterfinal) Kel Stotts (Russell County), Kyran Jones (Bowling Green), and Terry Taylor (Bowling Green) led WKY Elite with 19, 16, and 12 points respectively.
Louisville Magic 56 Shining Stars-Price 38 (Quarterfinal) Nick Smith (Ballard), JR Mathis (Kentucky Country Day), and Jamil Wilson (Ballard) led Louisville Magic with 12, 11, and 10 points respectively. DeMarcus led Shining Stars-Price with 13 points.
MATTS Mustangs 73 KY Hoopsters 72 (Semifinal) Mason Blair (Johnson Central) led MATTS Mustangs with 13 points including four three point baskets. Taveion Hollingsworth (Paul Laurence Dunbar), Tim Dalton (Lawrence County), Dontell Brown (Paul Laurence Dunbar), and Bryson Asher (North Laurel) added 13, 13, 12, and 11 points respectively. Noah Young (Lincoln County), Lucas Gentry (Rockcastle County), and Cooper Watts (Scott County) led KY Hoopsters with 27, 17, and 10 points respectively.
Louisville Magic 70 WKY Elite 65 (Semifinal) JR Mathis (Kentucky Country Day), Jamil Wilson (Ballard), and Tony Jackson (North Hardin) led Louisville Magic with 22, 19, and 13 points respectively. Kel Stotts (Russell County), Kyran Jones (Bowling Green), and Pedro Bradshaw (Russellville) led WKY Elite with 16, 15, and 12 points respectively.
MATTS Mustangs 70 Louisville Magic 68 (Championship) Mason Blair (Johnson Central) hit a step back three point basket from the corner at the buzzer to give MATTS Mustangs a come-from-behind 70-68 victory over Louisville Magic. Taveion Hollingsworth (Paul Laurence Dunbar) and Tim Dalton (Lawrence County) led the victors with 19 and 17 points respectively. JR Mathis (Kentucky Country Day), Caleb Williams (Eastern), and Ramon Collins (Moore) led Louisville Magic with 18, 11, and 10 points respectively. Mathis also recorded three three point baskets.
Boys 11th Grade
Team Manimal 74 Louisville Prospects 61 (Quarterfinal) Ray Taylor (Cordia), Mason Faulkner (Caverna), and DJ White (Casey County) led Team Manimal with 14, 13, and 12 points respectively. Conner McKim (St. Xavier) led Louisville Prospects with 23 points.
Hoop Dreams Black 86 KY Heat 81 (Quarterfinal)
Charlotte Court 70 Travelers 16U 43 (Quarterfinal)
TBC Elite 90 Team Primetime 66 (Quarterfinal) Siah Holifield (West Jessamine), Tanner Kidwell (Madison Southern), and Cam Jones (West Jessamine) led TBC Elite with 14, 13, and 11 points respectively. Devon Hart (Paducah Tilghman) led Travelers 16U with 19 points.
Team Manimal 77 Hoop Dreams Black 57 (Semifinal) Mason Faulkner (Caverna) came out on fire tonight and led Team Manimal with 33 points including seven three point baskets. Caleb Taylor (South Laurel) and Bailey Rakes (Bullitt East) each recorded eight points. Quentin Goodin (Taylor County), Jon Jon Henry (North Oldham), and William Olsen (St. Xavier) led Hoop Dreams Black with 24, 12, and 10 points respectively.
Charlotte Court 78 TBC Elite 65 (Semifinal) Isaiah Tisdale (Henry Clay), Koebe Garrard (Paris), and Deandre Dishman (Bryan Station) led Charlotte Court with 21, 14, and 12 points respectively. Art Walker (Montgomery County), Austin Crawford (Bracken County), Pig Williams (Mason County), and Tanner Kidwell (Madison Southern) led TBC Elite with 14, 11, 10, and eight points respectively.
Charlotte Court 61 Team Manimal 57 (Championship) Koebe Garrard (Paris), Deandre Dishman (Bryan Station), L. Ridgeway (Henry Clay), and Isaiah Tisdale (Henry Clay) led Charlotte Court with 19, 18, 12, and eight points respectively. Mason Faulkner (Caverna), Ray Taylor (Cordia), and Perry Ayers (Bowling Green) led Team Manimal with 13, 13, and 10 points respectively.
A special thanks to Tom Bower and the rest of the staff at the KBA this weekend. Another excellent tournament with a lot of talent at all three divisions. There were some excellent coverage and video clips of this event by several individuals and much appreciation to the KBA for the hospitality extended this weekend.
