Harrison County coach Kimberly Furnish started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Madison Philpott, 5-5 Sr. Meghan Clem, 6-0 Jr. Emma Darnell, 5-5 Sr. Kayla Ford, and 5-5 Fr. Madison Kellione.  East Carter coach Hager Easterling countered with 5-8 Jr. Haley Hall, 5-7 Sr. Mandy Langstaff, 5-10 Jr. Bailee Brainard, 5-5 So. Taylor Jackson, and 5-7 7th Grade Harley Paynter.

 

East Carter defeated Harrison County by a score of 49-33.  East Carter shot 31.5% from the field including three of 19 from the three point line.  East Carter attempted 20 more shots (54-34) from the field than Harrison County.  The Lady Raiders connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 26 Harrison County turnovers.  Harrison County shot 32.4% from the field including zero of three from beyond the arc.  The Fillies connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored eight points off 17 East Carter turnovers.

 

Harley Paynter led East Carter with 14 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Haley Hall added 14 points including seven of 10 free throws, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Bailee Brainard recorded nine points, 11 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.

 

Madison Kellione led Harrison County with 15 points including seven of 10 free throws.  Emma Darnell added eight points and five rebounds.  Madison Philpott chipped in with six points, five rebounds, and four steals.

Jenkins outscored Montgomery County 23-8 in the second quarter on their way to a 70-45 victory.  Jenkins shot 41.5% from the field including two of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Cavaliers connected on 14 of 15 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 13 Montgomery County turnovers.  Montgomery County shot 23.9% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Jenkins turnovers.

 

It was business as usual for the state number one scorer Whitney Creech who led Jenkins with 60 points including 14 of 15 free throws, 22 rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.  Alexis Stambaugh added 10 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocked shots.

 

Sarah Arnett led Montgomery County with 18 points including four three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two steals.  Kennedy Igo added 17 points, five rebounds, and two steals.  Delaney Bromagen recorded nine points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.

Simon Kenton defeated Rockcastle County by a score of 62-35.  Simon Kenton shot a sizzling 61% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Pioneers connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Rockcastle County turnovers.  Rockcastle County shot 26.7% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rockets connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored seven points off 15 Simon Kenton turnovers.

 

5-6 8th Grade Maggi Jones led Simon Kenton with 15 points including three three point baskets.  Allyson Niece added 15 points, three rebounds, and five assists.  Madi Meier recorded 12 points and seven rebounds.  Morgan Stamper chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.  Kendyl Gilliam added 10 points and three assists.

 

Ashley McKinney led Rockcastle County with seven points.  5-6 Jr. Emme Barker and Mahala Saylor added six points each.

T’Laya Lyvers led Henry Clay with 27 points including two three point baskets, 1o rebounds, three assists, and eight steals.  Braxton Price added eight points.  5-9 Sr. Jordyn Jackson chipped in with six points and five rebounds.  Nakeisha Green recorded four points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.

The score was tied 36-36 after three quarters but Harrison County rallied for a 47-40 victory.  The score was tied four times and there were three lead changes in this game.  Harrison County controlled the boards and held a 19-1 advantage in second chance points.  Harrison County shot 31.45 from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Fillies connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Montgomery County turnovers.  Montgomery County shot 37.1% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored six points off 11 Harrison County turnovers. 

 

Madison Philpott led Harrison County with 17 points and nine rebounds.  Madison Kellione added 16 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Emma Darnell recorded seven points and 11 rebounds.  Meghan Clem chipped in with five points and 10 rebounds.

Anna Clephane led Scott with 21 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Alexis Stapleton added 14 points including six of six free throws and three steals.  Kelly Franxman recorded 10 points and eight rebounds.  Emma Profitt chipped in with nine points and five rebounds and Tori Dant pulled down nine rebounds.

Kristen Mayo led East Carter with 23 points, five assists, and three steals.  Haley Hall added 22 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Bailee Brainard recorded 14 points and 13 rebounds.  Milena Clarke chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.  5-7 7th Grade Harley Paynter added eight points including two three point baskets.

Hope Kelley led Rockcastle County with 16 points including three three point baskets.  Ashley McKinney added 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Jayna Albright chipped in with six points and four rebounds.  Emme Barker pulled down six rebounds and dished out five assists.

Alexis Stapleton led Scott with 18 points including two three point baskets and three steals.  Anna Clephane added 16 points including eight of 12 free throws and seven steals.  5-6 Fr. Summer Secrist recorded 10 points and seven rebounds.  Morgan Wagner chipped in with nine points.  Kelly Franxman pulled down eight rebounds.
