Columbus North (IN) Class 4A vs. Franklin County (Girls)

Columbus North coach Pat McKee started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Paige Littrell, 5-9 Jr. Maliah Howard-Bass, 6-4 Jr. Imani Guy, 5-5 Jr. Ashlyn Huffman, and 5-6 Sr. Emily Kim.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-9 Sr. Anna Arrastia, 5-10 Jr. Rebecca Cook, 5-9 Sr. Malaka Frank, 5-6 Jr. Savannah Courtney, and 5-8 Jr. Princess Stewart.

Columbus North pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Franklin County by a score of 50-40.  The score was tied five times and there were 10 lead changes in the game.  Columbus North shot 31.4% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 23 Franklin County turnovers.  Franklin County shot 40% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Flyers connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored seven points off 15 Columbus North turnovers.

Maliah Howard-Bess led Columbus North with 25 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Paige Littrell added 11 points.  Imani Guy recorded eight points and five rebounds.

Anna Arrastia led Franklin County with 11 points including three three point baskets.  Rebecca Cook added eight points and nine rebounds.  Princess Stewart recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Savannah Courtney also scored eight points.

Wood Memorial (IN) Class 1A vs. Madison Southern (Boys)

Wood Memorial coach Josh Thompson started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Tyler Fleischer, 6-2 So. Walker Nurrenbern, 6-4 Sr. Jared Cox, 6-2 Fr. Paxon Bartley, and 6-2 Sr. Jacob Jarboe.  Madison Southern coach Shane Buttry countered with 6-1 Jr. Michael Jefferson, 6-0 Sr. Stacy Burns, 6-3 Sr. Griffen Gabbard, 5-9 So. Shawn Short, and 5-10 Jr. Caleb Miller.

Madison Southern trailed 29-22 early in the third quarter but rallied to earn a 55-53 victory over Wood Memorial.  The score was tied eight times and there were seven lead changes in the game.  Madison Southern shot 38.3% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 13 of 25 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Wood Memorial turnovers.  Wood Memorial shot 40% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Trojans connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Madison Southern turnovers.

Michael Jefferson led Madison Southern with 17 points, six rebounds, and five assists.  5-9 Sr. Branden Sargent added 12 points on four three point baskets.  Stacy Burns chipped in with 11 points. 

Walker Nurrenbern led Wood Memorial with 12 points and seven rebounds.  Jacob Jarboe also scored 12 points and seven rebounds.  Paxon Bartley added 11 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Tyler Fleischer chipped in with 10 points.

Jay County (IN) Class 4A vs. Cooper (Boys)

Jay County coach Chris Krieg started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Jay Houck, 6-1 Sr. Bowen Runyon, 6-4 Sr. Adam Dirksen, 5-10 So. Cole Stiglem, and 6-1 Sr. Kyler Carvel.  Cooper coach Tim Sullivan countered with 6-2 Sr. Marcus Watson, 6-2 Jr. Dante Hendrix, 6-3 Jr. Sean McNeil, 5-9 So. Chris McNeil, and 5-10 So. Adam Kunkel.

Cooper took an early lead and held on to defeat Jay County by a score of 45-37.  Cooper shot 28.9% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 21 of 26 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 Jay County turnovers.  Jay County shot 41.9% from the field including one of seven from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 11 points off eight Cooper turnovers.

Sean McNeil led Cooper with 14 points including six of six free throws and six rebounds.  Adam Kunkel added 12 points including seven of eight free throws.  Chris McNeil and Dante Hendrix recorded seven points each.

Adam Dirksen led Jay County with 16 points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Jay Houck added 10 points and nine rebounds.

New Albany (IN) Class 4A vs. Paul Laurence Dunbar (Boys)

New Albany coach Jim Shannon started the following lineup: 6-5 So. Romeo Langford, 6-0 Jr. Isaac Hibbard, 6-3 Sr. Michael Maxwell, 5-6 So. Rondale Moore, and 5-11 Sr. Josh Jefferson.  Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-4 Sr. Darius Williams, 6-3 Jr. Taveion Hollingsworth, 6-6 Jr. Dontell Brown, 5-9 Sr. Jordan Brown, and 6-0 Sr. Jordan Lewis.

New Albany pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 55-47.  The score was tied four times and there four lead changes in the game.  New Albany shot 42.5% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 36.7% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 17 New Albany turnovers.

Romeo Langford led New Albany with 24 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Josh Jefferson added 14 points including two three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Isaac Hibbard recorded 12 points and four assists.  Michael Maxwell also pulled down eight rebounds.

Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 14 points and six rebounds.  Darius Williams added 11 points.  Jordan Lewis recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Dontell Brown chipped in with eight points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Forest Park (IN) Class 2A vs. Owen County (Boys)

Forest Park coach Jeff Litherland started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Jaxson Cronin, 6-2 So. Sam Englert, 6-4 Sr. Ben Wendhoit, 6-0 So. Daniel Lusk, and 6-1 Sr. David Lusk.  Owen County coach Devin Duvall countered with 6-5 Sr. Michael Dunaway, 6-1 Sr. Blaine Forsee, 6-7 Sr. Carson Williams, 5-11 Sr. Chad McDonald, and 6-1 Sr. Vince Toftness.

Owen County defeated Forest Park by a score of 72-55.  Owen County shot 65.9% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line.  The Rebels connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off seven Forest Park turnovers.  Forest Park shot 34.7% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Rangers connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Owen County turnovers.

Vince Toftness led Owen County with 23 points and four assists.  Carson Williams added 14 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and six blocked shots.  Chad McDonald also scored 14 points.  6-4 Jr. Cameron McAnally chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.

David Lusk led Forest Park with 20 points including two three point baskets.  Sam Englert added 13 points and five rebounds.  Ben Wendhoit chipped in with nine points and four rebounds.
