Scott vs. South Laurel

 

Scott coach Steve Fromeyer started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Tim Jolley, 6-1 Sr. Vincent Dumiao, 6-3 Sr. Andrew Dixon, 5-8 So. Chad Ohmer, and 6-0 Sr. Jake Ohmer.  South Laurel coach Jeff Davis countered with 6-4 Jr. Ryan Anders, 6-1 Sr. Zac Feltner, 6-4 So. JJ Ramey, 6-1 Sr. Jared Grubb, and 6-2 Sr. Blake Phelps.

 

South Laurel shot a sizzling 77.3% from the field in the first half on their way to a 41-27 halftime lead in a 72-50 victory over Scott.  South Laurel shot 65% from the field including eight of 16 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off eight Scott turnovers.  Scott shot 34% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 16 of 25 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 South Laurel turnovers.

 

Jared Grubb led South Laurel with 21 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists.  Ryan Anders added 18 points and five rebounds.  JJ Ramey recorded 13 points and five rebounds.

 

Jake Ohmer led Scott with 15 points.  6-0 Jr. Jaycob Pouncy added 10 points and three steals.

Russellville defeated Sheldon Clark 70-69 in overtime.  There were 12 ties and eight lead changes in the game..  Russellville shot 36.2% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line.  The Panthers connected on 15 of 29 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Sheldon Clark turnovers.  Sheldon Clark shot 41.4% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 14 of 16 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored four points off nine Russellville turnovers.

 

Pedro Bradshaw led Russellville with 17 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.  DeShawn Mason added 14 points.  Jaylyn McMurry recorded 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  6-2 Sr. Paul Jones also reached double digits with 10 points and eight rebounds.

 

Shawn Moore led Sheldon Clark with 25 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and three steals.  Bradley Dalton added 17 points including three three point baskets.  Dylan James recorded 12 points and 14 rebounds.  David Cantrell chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Perry County Central rallied from a 29-14 first half deficit to earn a 63-61 come-from-behind victory over Sayre.  Perry County central took advantage of their size advantage to hold a 17-6 advantage in second chance points.  Perry County Central shot 43.4% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line.  The Commodores connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 10 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 47.9% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc.  The Spartans connected on 11 of 12 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 13 Perry County central turnovers.

 

Noah Back led Perry County Central with 17 points including four three point baskets.  Richard Cornett added 11 points.  Damon Tobler recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocked shots.  6-9 Sr. Prince Anosike chipped in with six points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.

 

Jake Duby led Sayre with 36 points including four three point baskets.  RJ Smith added seven points and five rebounds.  Jayden Blanton dished out seven assists and recorded four steals.

Sean McNeil led Cooper with 16 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Adam Kunkel also scored 16 points.  Brayden Runion recorded 15 points.  Dante Hendrix chipped in with 11 points and three assists.
