Madison Southern vs. Berea (Girls)
Madison Southern assistant coach Donnie Hunley started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Savannah Fallis, 5-10 Sr. Conner Coyle, 5-11 Sr. Marley Lawson, 5-3 8th Grade Samantha Cornelison, and 5-6 Jr. Ashlyn Clark. Berea coach Dammian Stepp countered with 5-10 Sr. Alex Horn, 5-7 So. Alyssa Carter, 6-0 So. Adrienne Beggs, 5-6 Sr. Jordan Sandefur, and 5-5 7th Grade Mati Stepp.
Madison Southern captured a hard fought 54-49 victory over Berea. There were five ties and 10 lead changes in the game. Madison Southern shot 40% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine Berea turnovers. Berea shot 39.5% from the field including six of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Madison Southern turnovers.
Savannah Fallis led Madison Southern with 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Samantha Cornelison added 12 points on four three point baskets. Ashlyn Clark recorded 10 points and five assists. Marley Lawson added eight points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. Conner Coyle chipped in with five points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.
Jordan Sandefur led Berea with 20 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists. Alex Horn added 13 points and nine rebounds. Adrienne Beggs chipped in with eight points, three rebounds, and two blocked shots. Mati Stepp recorded eight points and six assists.

Madison Southern raced out to a 25-7 first quarter lead on their way to a 73-30 victory over Berea. Madison Southern shot 47.2% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 25% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Pirates connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored four points off eight Madison Southern turnovers.
Caleb Miller led Madison Southern with 16 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, five rebounds, and four assists. Shawn Short added 13 points including three three point baskets. Michael Jefferson also scored 13 points. Bryar Rose recorded five points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
Tylen Hall led Berea with nine points on three three point baskets. David Gadd added six points.

Model vs. Madison Central (Girls)
Model coach Candace Wells started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Peyton Erslan, 5-7 Sr. Mallory Smith, 6-2 So. Lauren Jackson, 5-1 So. Savanna Gullett, and 5-7 Sr. Sydney Claypoole. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-5 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-8 Sr. Kasi Schneid.
Madison Central defeated Model by a score of 72-39. Madison Central’s defense recorded 20 steals and six blocked shots and converted 22 Model turnovers into 34 points. Madison Central shot 47.5% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line. The Indians connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds and outscored Model 18-0 on fast break points. Model shot 33.3% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored three points off seven Madison Central turnovers.
Bailee Vanover led Madison Central with 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and six steals. Lindsey Johns added 16 points including three three point baskets despite only logging 19 minutes after missing several minutes due to an injury. Kasi Schneid recorded 10 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Mallie Cornett added eight points, five rebounds, five blocked shots, and five steals. Charity Mack recorded seven points, six rebounds, two assists, and four steals.
Savanna Gullett led Model with 12 points on four three point baskets. Peyton Erslan also scored 12 points including two three point baskets and eight rebounds. Lauren Jackson recorded 10 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and three blocked shots.

The Indians connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 13 points off nine Model turnovers. Model shot 26.9% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored three points off seven Madison Central turnovers.
Dustin Gerald led Madison Central with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Isaiah Cozart added 14 points, 13 rebounds, and seven blocked shots. 5-11 Sr. Alex Mayes chipped in with 12 points on four three point baskets. Isaiah Minter recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and six assists.
Andrew Jacob Backus led Model with 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots. Will Feese added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Madison Central defeated Madison Southern 48-42 in a hard fought contest to capture the district championship. Madison Central shot 37.2% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 31.5% from the field including seven of 30 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on one of two free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored six points off seven Madison Central turnovers.
Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 17 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Bailee Vanover added 15 points and five steals. Mallie Cornett recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots. Kasi Schneid chipped in with five points, nine rebounds, four assists, and five steals.
Marley Lawson led Madison Southern with 10 points and seven rebounds. 5-8 Sr. Keri Thorn added nine points, five rebounds, and three assists. Savannah Fallis recorded seven points and five rebounds. Ashlyn Clark chipped in with six points on two three point baskets, six rebounds, and six assists. Conner Coyle added four points and 10 rebounds.

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Dustin Gerald, 6-1 Sr. Michael Roberts, 6-7 So. Isaiah Cozart, 5-10 Jr. Jacori Miller, and 5-10 Jr. Isaiah Minter. Madison Southern coach Shane Buttry countered with 6-2 Sr. Michael Jefferson, 6-2 Sr. Bryar Rose, 6-1 Sr. Noah Marshall, 5-9 Jr. Shawn Short, and 5-11 Sr. Caleb Miller.
Madison Southern ended Madison Central’s 21 year stranglehold on the district title as they defeated the Indians by a score of 44-33. Madison Southern controlled the pace of the game only attempting 26 shots from the field but connecting on 50% of their attempts and not allowing Madison Central to gain any effective rhythm on offense. Madison Central’s promising big man Isaiah Cozart pulled down nine rebounds and blocked two shots but never got in the flow of the offense as he only attempted one shot.
Madison Southern shot 50% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 12 of 27 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 29.3% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Madison Southern turnovers.
Bryar Rose led Madison Southern with 13 points including two three three point baskets. Shawn Short added 11 points including two three point baskets. Caleb Miller chipped in with nine points and four rebounds. Michael Jefferson recorded seven points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Jacori Miller led Madison Central with nine points. Dustin Gerald added five points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
