West Jessamine coach Chris Begley started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Alleyse Steinkuhl, 5-7 So. Abby Jo Fitch, 6-0 Fr. Delaysia Thomas, 5-5 Sr. Madlynn McDonald, and 5-5 So. Haylee Rutherford.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Jr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-7 So. Lacie Parks, 5-9 Sr. Logan Hudson, 5-7 8th Grader Chloe Freeman, and 5-6 Sr. Madison Barnard.

 

West Jessamine defeated Madison Central by a score of 52-48.  The score was tied four times and there were six lead changes in the game.  West Jessamine shot 39.3% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 14 off 21 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 30.5% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 19 West Jessamine turnovers.

 

Madlynn McDonald led West Jessamine with 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  5-7 Fr. Katherine Reed added 11 points, three rebounds, and three steals.  Delaysia Thomas recorded 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals.  Haylee Rutherford chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Alleyse Steinkuhl added four points, 10 rebounds, and three steals.

 

Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 12 points, 13 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  5-6 Sr. Kelsey Powell added 10 points and four rebounds.  Lacie Parks and Chloe Freeman recorded eight points each.

Spencer County outscored Lexington Catholic  21-12 in the second quarter on their way to a 56-42 victory.  Spencer County shot 43.9% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Bears connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 35.6% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on two of three free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 Spencer County turnovers.

 

Alyssa Howie led Spencer County with 18 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, and seven assists.  Alyssa Hitch added 12 points including two three point baskets.  Emily Sibert recorded 11 points including two three point baskets.  Haylee Cox chipped in with nine points and four rebounds.

 

5-8 So. Aerial West led Lexington Catholic with 14 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, and three steals.  Chloe Treece added seven points and three rebounds.  Farah Weldon recorded six points on two three point baskets and three rebounds.

Garrard County earned their first victory of the season with a 41-38 victory over Betsy Layne.  The score was tied five times and there were seven lead changes in the game.  Garrard County shot 32.4% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Lions connected on 13 of 27 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 27 Betsy Layne turnovers.  Betsy Layne shot 32.7% from the field including zero of three from beyond the arc.  The Ladycats connected on six of 19 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 24 Garrard County turnovers.

 

Madisyn Neeley led Garrard County with 19 points including three three point baskets.  Jade Pevley added 10 points, nine rebounds, and four steals.  Brittany Butner recorded eight points, four rebounds, and four steals.  Morgan Day chipped in with four rebounds and six assists.

 

Madilyn Meade led Betsy Layne with 15 points and five rebounds.  Kimberly Akers added eight points and nine rebounds.  Lauryn Watkins recorded six points and Kenadie Boyette added four points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and five steals.

Bardstown scored 30 points off 25 East Jessamine turnovers in a 66-24 victory over the Jaguars.  Bardstown shot 46.2% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Tigers connected on 15 of 25 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and held a 40-14 advantage in points in the paint.  East Jessamine shot 23.8% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Jaguars connected on two of 17 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored six points off 18 Bardstown turnovers.

 

Jaileyah Cotton led Bardstown with 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Jordan Boggs added 14 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and four steals.  5-7 Fr. Kadence Walls recorded 10 points.  Katrina Brown chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.  MaTija Yocum added eight points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

Lexington Catholic defeated Madison Central by a score of 48-43 in a game that had three ties and three lead changes.  Lexington Catholic trailed 25-17 at halftime but outscored Madison Central 17-7 in the third quarter.  Lexington Catholic shot 35.4% from the field including five of 27 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 36.1% from the field including one of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 16 of 27 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 19 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
