Seven Hills (OH) vs. Bourbon County

 

Seven Hills (OH) coach Willie Hill started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Brice Hill, 6-4 So. Nolan Loring, 6-7 Sr. Andrew Brown, 5-11 Sr. DJ Ross, and 6-1 Sr. Jonas Keller.  Bourbon County coach Lamont Campbell countered with 6-4 Sr. Jace Wallace, 6-2 Sr. CaMarr Myers, 6-7 Sr. Billy Murphy 5-9 Jr. Nakyir Joyce, and 5-11 Jr. Nakwan Joyce.

 

The score was tied 26-26 at halftime but Bourbon County pulled away in the second half for a 67-43 victory over Seven Hills (OH).  The score was tied seven times and there were 10 lead changes in the game.  Bourbon County shot 42.6% from the field including nine of 26 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 26 Seven Hills turnovers.  Seven Hills shot 43.2% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Stingers connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 Bourbon County turnovers.

 

Jace Wallace led a balanced Bourbon County scoring attack with 14 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and six assists.  6-6 Jr. Brycen Collins also scored 14 points including four three point baskets and three steals.  CaMarr Myers added 11 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Nakyir Joyce recorded 11 points, five assists, and four steals.  Billy Murphy also reached double figures with 10 points.

 

Brice Hill led Seven Hills with 17 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds.  Jonas Keller added 10 points and six rebounds.  Andrew Brown recorded eight points and nine rebounds.

Butler defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 44-37.  The score was tied twice and there were four lead changes in the game.  Butler shot 34.9% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Bears connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 38.2% from the field including one of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 17 Butler turnovers.

 

Cameron Underwood led Butler with 14 points and nine rebounds.  Maurice Tolley added nine points.

 

Jared Gadd led Dunbar with 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Tim Hall added nine points and six rebounds.  Rabby Kamona recorded seven points and six rebounds.  Michael Corio chipped in with seven points.

Pleasure Ridge Park raced out to an 11-0 lead on their way to a 60-56 victory over West Jessamine.  The score was tied five times and there were four lead changes in the game.  Pleasure Ridge Park shot 42.9% from the field including nine of 18 from the three point line.  The Panthers connected on nine of 18 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 34% from the field including four of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Pleasure Ridge Park turnovers.

 

Darius Osborne led Pleasure Ridge Park with 21 points including two three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  5-10 Jr. Jake Miller added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Shawn Paris recorded 13 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.

 

Dalton Bruner led West Jessamine with 23 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and four steals.  Nate Breeden added 10 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  Braeden Fomas recorded eight points, nine rebounds, and three steals.  DeAjuan Stepp chipped in with eight points, three rebounds, four assists, and three blocked shots.
