2019 5th Annual Biosteel All Canadian Boys Basketball Game and Inaugural Biosteel Inaugural Girls Basketball Game

This event is truly a Canadian event and will future the top twenty four male and female basketball players who were either born in Canada or enrolled in a Canadian institution.  There will also be a futures game for both males and females, skills competition including three point shooting and slam dunk contests.  The Biosteel All Canadian Players of the year both male and female will be named during these events.

 

Miguel Tomley captured the mixed three point competition and Ahriahna Grizzle captured the girls three point shooting competition and Jahcobi Neath captured the slam dunk title.  Micah Dennis was named Biosteel All Canadian Female Player of the Year and Matthew-Alexander Moncreiffe was named Biosteel All Canadian Male Player of the Year.

Team White defeated Team Red by a score of 112-78.  Team White shot 41% from the field including eight of 30 from the three point line.  They connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 81 rebounds, and committed 24 turnovers.  Team Red shot 31% from the field including eight of 31 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds, and committed 27 turnovers.

 

Aaliyah Edwards led Team White with 17 points and seven rebounds.  Brynn Masikewich was named MVP for Team White and added 16 points and nine rebounds.  Latasha Lattimore recorded 14 points and six rebounds.  Rebecca Demeke chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals.  Micah Dennis also scored 12 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Callie Wright recorded 11 points and six rebounds.

 

Merissah Russell was named Team Red MVP and scored a game-high 30 points including four three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and three steals.  Shayeann Day-Wilson added 14 points including eight of nine free throws, four rebounds, and four steals.  Ahriahna Grizzle recorded nine points, three rebounds, and two steals.

Team Red defeated Team White by a score of 131-120.  Team Red shot 49% from the field including nine of 32 from the three point line.  They connected on 26 of 38 free throws and pulled down 59 rebounds.  Team White shot 43.5% from the field including seven of 29 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 19 of 33 free throws and pulled down 62 rebounds.

 

Addison Patterson was name Team Red MVP and led his team with 24 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Taryn Todd led 21 points including three three point baskets.  Rahmir Moore recorded 13 points and six rebounds.  Tyrese Samuel chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds.  Marsei Caston added 12 points including two three point baskets.  Luke Sakota recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Keeshawn Barthelemy chipped in with 11 points.

 

Jahcobi Neath was named Team White MVP and led his team with 21 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, and two steals.  Emmanuel Miller added 21 points and five rebounds.  Jaden Bediako recorded 16 points and seven rebounds.  Matthew-Alexander Moncreiffe added 14 points including four of five free throws.  Samuel Hunter chipped in with 13 points and four rebounds.  Joshua Hemmings recorded 11 points including five of five free throws.
