IMG Academy shot a sizzling 57.4% from the field on their way to a 65-50 victory over Sunrise Christian (KS). IMG Academy shot 57.4% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line. Coach Sean McAloon’s Ascenders connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and committed 12 turnovers. Sunrise Christian Academy shot 45.2% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. Coach Luke Barnwell’s Buffaloes connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and committed 18 turnovers.
6-3 Jr. Jaden Springer led IMG Academy with 26 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and three blocked shots. Springer was very efficient with 11 of 14 from the field including two of four from beyond the arc, and two of three free throws. 6-1 Jr. Noah Farrakhan added 19 points including three three point baskets and three steals. 6-10 Sr. Armando Bacot recorded eight points and 10 rebounds. 6-10 Sr. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl chipped in with eight points and five rebounds. 6-6 Sr. Josh Green dished out eight assists.
6-3 Sr. Grant Sherfield led Sunrise Christian Academy with 13 points including two three point baskets. 7-0 So. N’Faly Dante added eight points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals. 6-8 Sr. Jordan Turner recorded eight points including two three point baskets and three rebounds. 6-4 Sr. Austin Crowley chipped in with five points and six rebounds.

Montverde pulled away in the final quarter to defeat NSU University School by a score of 65-57. Montverde shot 47.2% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. Coach Kevin Boyle’s Eagles connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers. NSU University School shot 39.3% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. Coach Jim Carr’s Sharks connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers.
6-5 Sr. Harlond Beverly led Montverde Academy with 25 points including two three point baskets on nine of 11 from the field including two of two from the three point line and five of eight free throws. 6-9 Sr. Precious Achiuwa added 10 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. 7-1 Sr. Balsa Koprivica recorded 10 points and 6-5 Jr. Moses Moody chipped in with eight points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals. 6-7 Jr. Cade Cunningham added four points and eight rebounds.
6-11 Sr. Vernon Carey led NSU University School with 15 points including two three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and two assists. 6-4 Jr. Roger McFarlane added 15 points. 6-8 Jr. Scottie Barnes recorded 12 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists. 6-5 Fr. The No.1 ranked team La Lumiere required two overtime periods to overcome the long range bombing from Bishop Gorman to earn a 74-69 victory. La Lumiere (IN) shot 38.35 from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. Coach Patrick Holmes squad connected on 23 of 35 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers. Bishop Gorman (NV) shot 43.1% from the field including 13 of 25 from beyond the arc. Coach Grant Rice’s Gaels connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers.
6-9 Sr. Isaiah Stewart led La Lumiere (IN) with 25 points including two three point baskets, 11 of 11 free throws, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots. 5-11 Jr. Wendell Green added 19 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists. 6-8 Sr. Keion Brooks recorded 18 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots. 6-4 Sr. Paxson Wojcik chipped in with seven points, seven rebounds, and two steals. 6-5 Sr. Gerald Drumgoole added five points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.

Will McClendon led Bishop Gorman (NV) with 22 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. 6-3 Jr. Noah Taitz added 16 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. 6-1 So. St. John’s (DC) eked out a 63-61 victory over Centennial (NV). Azzi Fudd connected on two free throws with nine seconds left on the clock to provide the winning margin. St. John’s (DC) shot 43.9% from the field including nine of 17 from the three point line. Coach Jonathan Schriber’s Cadets connected on 18 of 25 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and committed 18 turnovers. Centennial (NV) shot 39.7% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc. Coach Karen Weitz’s Lady Bulldogs connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and committed 14 turnovers.
5-11 So. Azzi Fudd led St. John’s (DC) with 27 points including three three point baskets, eight of 10 free throws, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. 5-5 Sr. Alex Cowan added 18 points including four three point baskets. 6-3 Sr. Malu Tshitenge - Mutombo recorded six points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.

IMG Academy trailed 63-47 after three quarters but rallied to earn a 74-73 victory. The winning basket came on a long outlet pass from Armando Bacot to Jeremiah Robinson-Earl who finished with an open fast break dunk in the closing seconds. IMG Academy (FL) shot 46.9% from the field including three of eight from the three point line. They connected on 25 of 37 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and committed 14 turnovers. Montverde Academy (FL) shot 48.2% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc. They connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and committed 19 turnovers.

La Lumiere held on down the stretch to defeat Oak Hill Academy by a score of 58-57. Oak Hill Academy had one last chance but a last second shot by Cam Thomas rimmed out. La Lumiere shot 47.2% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. They connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers. Oak Hill Academy shot 35.8% from the field including four of 23 from beyond the arc. They connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and committed only one turnover.

St. John’s (DC) shot 30% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc. They connected on eight of eight free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.
5-9 Jr. Delicia Pinnick led New Hope (MD) with 13 points including six of six free throws. 5-10 Sr. Kylie Kornegay-Lucas added 11 points. 5-6 So. Jada Walker was named Tournament MVP and recorded nine points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

IMG Academy defeated La Lumiere (IN) 66-55 to capture the championship and hand La Lumiere (IN) their first loss of the season. IMG Academy (FL) shot 51.1% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line. They connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and committed five turnovers. La Lumiere (IN) shot 41.2% from the field including four of 21 from beyond the arc. They connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and committed six turnovers.
