Kentucky started the following lineup: Cody Potter, JJ Traynor, Ksuan Casey, Dayvion McKnight, and Brayden Sebastian. Indiana countered with Trey Galloway, Dre Davis, Anthony Leal, Nijel Pack, and Charlie Yoder.
Indiana exploded in the first half to score 74 points on their way to a 142-105 victory over Kentucky. Indiana shot 53.1% from the field including 10 of 32 from the three point line. They connected on 28 of 32 free throws, pulled down 55 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 24 Kentucky turnovers. Kentucky shot 38.5% from the field including 14 of 41 from beyond the arc. They connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 54 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight Indiana turnovers.
Tre Coleman led Indiana with 22 points including four three point baskets, six of six free throws, four rebounds, and four steals. Tony Perkins also scored 22 points. Dre Davis recorded 19 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots. Jaden Ivy chipped in with 18 points including three three point baskets. Charlie Yoder added 14 points and six rebounds. Trey Galloway also reached double figures with 10 points.
Dayvion McKnight led Kentucky with 18 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, and three steals. JJ Traynor added 13 points, six rebounds, and four blocked shots. Ksuan Casey recorded 12 points and seven rebounds. Tyren Moore also scored 12 points on four three point baskets.
